Charlie Cox is right that Daredevil must face Bullseye in the MCU, and it should happen in Cox has since expressed interest in continuing certain storylines from the Netflix Marvel show, most notably a rematch between Daredevil and Bullseye. As he explained, "We just touched on that story, and ... I really enjoyed working with Wilson Bethel on that character."

Daredevil season 3 introduced FBI agent Benjamin Poindexter, who was played by Wilson Bethel. Although he was never explicitly called Bullseye in the series, Ben was clearly set up to be the Daredevil villain who can turn anything into a projectile weapon. He faced off against Matthew Murdock several times in season 3, but the two of them were more concerned with stopping Kingpin in the show's finale, leaving the possibility for a rematch between them in a future season. The final scenes in Netflix's Daredevil teased a more comic book accurate version of Bullseye after he received cybernetic enhancements due to the injuries he sustained fighting Kingpin. Cox's comments make it clear that he not only would love a rematch with Bullseye, but he wants it to continue the storyline that started on Netflix.

Cox is correct in saying that a rematch with Bullseye needs to happen, since it's the biggest unresolved cliffhanger in the series, and it needs to take place in Daredevil season 4. The announcement that Netflix's Marvel shows — Daredevil, Kingpin's return in Hawkeye, Daredevil's conflict with Bullseye would work best in a continuation of the original series. Bullseye's story is worthy of a full season arc and needs that focus in order to tell it properly. As one of Daredevil's most formidable and recurring nemeses, only briefly incorporating his character into another story would not grant him the care and attention he deserves.

Poindexter talking to someone in Daredevil

It's currently unclear how much, if any, of the plotlines in Netflix's Marvel shows will become canon in the MCU. Although they have not been considered canon in the past, this status could soon change, especially with the Doctor Strange 2 may incorporate other realities into the MCU, which could include the universes for Netflix's Marvel shows. If so, it would be the perfect way to include these characters' past storylines without having to start from scratch, meaning Charlie Cox could get the Daredevil rematch with Bullseye he hopes for.

A Daredevil season 4 would be the perfect way to resolve Ben Poindexter's story, giving him the necessary time to fully develop into Daredevil's nemesis. Previous seasons of Daredevil framed Kingpin as Matt Murdock's primary villain, but Wilson Fisk's future in the MCU seems to be diverting from Daredevil's, which leaves a space open for a new villain to fill. Marvel has made no definitive announcements about Daredevil's next MCU appearance, but wherever he shows up, he will need a villain skilled enough to take him on, and there's no one better than Bullseye.
