Jedi world of Tython, a planet first seen on-screen in The Mandalorian season 2. Seeking to grow his power in the Force ahead of a major attack on his master Emperor Palpatine ahead of Return of the Jedi, Darth Vader is now ed by the Schism Imperial on his journey to the world originally believed to have been the site of the first Jedi Temple (before the discovery of Ahch-To). Nevertheless, Darth Vader does find exactly what he was looking for on Tython (and more).
In Darth Vader #45 by Greg Pak, Adam Gorham, and Paul Fry, Darth Vader is seeking the Martyrium of Frozen Tears, a Jedi Force confessional which he had been trapped within thanks to Doctor Aphra as seen in the comics leading up the events of The Empire Strikes Back. Made from a rare mineral known as kyberite that can channel and amplify Force abilities, Vader ventures to the Meridional Ice Cap of Tython, a far colder and more dangerous section of the planet compared to the region visited years later by Din Djarin and Grogu in The Mandalorian season 2:
With of the Schism Imperial in tow who seek to overthrow Palpatine as well, it's presumed that Vader's hope is to use the kyberite to gain an advantage over his master once their imminent assault begins.

Vader Seeks The Force Confessional On Tython
The Martyrium of Frozen Tears
On his first visit to Tython, the echoes of the Jedi sins left within the kyberite confessional had overwhelmed Darth Vader, completely immobilizing him as he sought to overcome the wave of past guilt and pain. As such, this gave Doctor Aphra enough time to escape his wrath. However, this is not the case upon his new visit seen in Darth Vader #45. Vader is prepared this time, ignoring the Force echoes (while also discovering something truly shocking).
Darth Vader #45 confirms that countless Jedi had visited and bared their souls throughout Tython's ancient history. However, none other than Luke Skywalker visited the world more recently, confessing his own Jedi guilt concerning the moments where he's wondered what would have happened had he agreed to his father in The Empire Strikes Back. As such, Vader bore witness to the echo of Luke's past confession held within the Martyrium.
How Vader's Tython Return Mirrors The Mandalorian Season 2
Tython Connected Both Vader and Grogu To Luke
Luke Skywalker serves to be an intriguing connection point between Vader's visit to Tython and Grogu's seen in The Mandalorian season 2. Thanks to the power of the Force held on Tython, Vader is motivated to immediately leave the planet and the kyberite in the hands of the Schism while he seeks to find Luke, presumably to offer his son the chance to him once more before Return of the Jedi. Likewise, Grogu tapping into Tython's power years later allowed Luke Skywalker to find and locate him as seen in the final episode of The Mandalorian season 2.
