Spoilers for Flashpoint Beyond #4 ahead!

A new form of energy called "Blueshift Power" introduced in the recent DC Comics lore, as the ultra-powerful force takes its place as one of the supreme powers in the multiverse, with potential connections to Watchmen's godlike Doctor Manhattan.

Flashpoint Beyond sees the return of the infamous Flashpoint universe, a twisted world seemingly created by Barry Allen traveling back in time to save his mother which eventually caused the New 52 reboot, later revealed in Doomsday Clock to have been orchestrated by Doctor Manhattan. Now, the Flashpoint universe is back, and only Batman's father Thomas Wayne knows it's wrong. Accordingly, he has been on a mission to revert the world back to one where his son Bruce survived, not knowing that the main DC universe is still in existence.

Flashpoint Beyond #0 - written by Geoff Johns with art by Eduardo Risso - established that the "DC" of "DC Comics," stands for "Divine Continuum," a way of organizing DC's multiple cosmic systems such as the Multiverse, Omniverse, and Hypertime. Throughout the first several issues of Flashpoint Beyond it has been made clear that the Dark Crisis on Earth-0 as well as whatever is happening in the Flashpoint is intimately connected with Hypertime and the core forces of the Omniverse, and in Flashpoint Beyond #4 - written by Geoff Johns, Jeremy Adams, and Tim Sheridan with art by Xermánico and Mikel Janín - a new force is finally introduced, dubbed "Blueshift Power" by Corky Baxter of the Time Masters. Blueshift Power is created by the Omniverse coming into direct with Hypertime.

Flashpoint Beyond has hinted several times - with its references to clocks, Janey Slater, and the use of Mime and Marionette - that Doctor Manhattan may be a major part of the series, and the blue hue of Blueshift Power, described by Baxter as, "the most dangerous energy on either side of the Divine Continuum" is the same as Doctor Manhattan's throughout his publication history. The source of Doctor Manhattan's vast powers was established to be Connective Energy by Wally West in Dark Knights: Death Metal, and yet there is a chance he was also powered by Blueshift Power.

Geoff Johns, the architect and lead writer of Flashpoint Beyond, has explicitly said that the end of the series will lead to several spin-offs featuring characters not seen or focused on at DC Comics in some time, meaning there is a chance that Doctor Manhattan could be returning to main comic continuity, seeing as he was easily able to travel through time. However, with the recent reveal that the evil Great Darkness was able to manipulate Doctor Manhattan, there is a chance that he will return as an even bigger threat to the DC Omniverse than he was before. It remains to be seen whether Doctor Manhattan or some other entity is utilizing the powerful and dangerous Blueshift Power to affect the DC Comics universe, but regardless it is clear that this new force is a major addition to the universe that is likely to spur major events in future and as Flashpoint Beyond continues.
