Thanks to an unexpected The Batman - Part II is currently slated to release on October 1st 2027 following a couple of year-long delays.

Not long after Daniel Craig dropped from the project, the DCU's Sgt. Rock has been canceled. Sgt. Rock's cancelation comes as a surprise, as names as prominent as Craig, director Luca Guadagnino, and Colin Farrell had been linked to the movie. Creature Commandos also featured a cameo by Sgt. However, Farrell would probably have been too busy with his Sgt. Rock duties to star in The Penguin season 2 as well. After all, Farrell repeatedly remarked on how physically and emotionally taxing it is to play the Penguin, especially throughout an entire series of his own.
