Even though they both belong to the fantasy genre, more or less, DCEU couldn't possibly be any more different. The DCEU sees a group of heroes (and sometimes villains, or antiheroes) who fight evil, and it takes place in the modern days. The Witcher, on the other hand, is set in a medieval world, and it focuses primarily on the struggles of one man and two women.

In the end, the thing that connects them the most is that Henry Cavill plays in both of these universes. Despite that, some DCEU and The Witcher characters have a lot in common.

Batman And Geralt Of Rivia

Batman Geralt

The obvious choice would be to say Superman since Henry Cavill plays both the Man of Steel and Geralt of Rivia. But character-wise, Geralt is actually closer to Batman. Both have suffered losses, and have to deal with them. They have very few people close to them and they have the tendency to drive others away. Finally, they're men of few words and struggle with finding the balance between right and wrong.

Steve Trevor And Cahir

Steve Trevor Cahir

Cahir is a villain in the show but his story is much more complicated in the books. The literary Cahir is a young man who made multiple mistakes but is trying to make up for them. Cahir is determined to help people, even those who feel like they don't want his help. In the end, he sacrifices his life to save Yennefer and Ciri, just like Steve sacrifices his life to save Diana and the rest of the world.

Harley Quinn And Renfri

Harley Renfri

To be fair to Renfri, she's not as insane as Harley. Then again, no-one is. Both women have a certain reputation, where other people see them for something they aren't. There's more to them than meets the eye. Renfri is capable of affection and kindness, just like Harley Quinn is. The world believes them to be villains but just like so many other people, neither Harley nor Renfri are easy to understand. They're accustomed to fighting for themselves and fight hard to build a better life.

The Flash And Jaskier

The Flash Jaskier

Also known as Dandelion in the games, Jaskier is a good friend to Geralt even when the Witcher himself doesn't seem to think so. Jaskier is full of optimism and cheer, is loyal to his friends, but not a lot of help when it comes to fighting since he has the tendency to panic in crises.

The same is true for Barry Allen aka the Flash. Barry is a good-hearted, funny guy, who quickly makes friends but he doesn't excel at facing his enemies.

Aquaman And Lambert

Aquaman Lambert

Lambert is Geralt's fellow Witcher. He's snarky, biting, and always has a clever insult ready. At the same time, he's brave, determined, and feels like he doesn't fit in with the world. Aquaman doesn't mince his words either, he calls things the way he sees them. Both of them had to come to with the way their lives changed and even though it took a while for them to adjust to their new reality, they managed it just fine in the end.

Superman And Regis

Superman Regis

Even though Superman lacks Regis' wisdom gained by centuries of life, they're both different from the rest of the world and lead double lives. Regis is a Higher Vampire but a kind one who spends his days helping people, while Superman is a kind alien who spends his days helping people. Both of them are hiding their true selves and only a few chosen people know them for who they really are.

Wonder Woman And Queen Calanthe

Wonder Woman Calanthe

The Witcher has a large number of fierce women who are great warriors. But Wonder Woman is close to Queen Calanthe in character, albeit not in magical powers.

Both are experienced warriors who have led many battles and won. They guard their hearts and don't let that many people enter them, but are willing to sacrifice themselves for the people they love.

Shazam And Zoltan Chivay

Shazam Zoltan

Despite the difference in their respective ages, Shazam and Zoltan share a lot of similarities. They always mean well and are willing to help their friends, but they sometimes cause more harm than good. They're not so good at thinking things through and coming up with the best solution but they have a heart of gold and would die for those they care about.

Mera And Yennefer Of Vengerberg

Mera Yennefer

The difference in looks aside (Mera is a redhead, Yennefer has beautiful dark hair), the two women have a lot in common. Both have enormous power and have to be careful about how they use it. They have equally strong partners but don't always see eye to eye with them. Mera and Yennefer distance themselves from the world but when the time comes to do the right thing, it's for certain that they will be there to help, to fight.

Cyborg And Ciri

Cyborg Ciri

Ciri's story is rather tragic. She lost a parent, had to deal with her life-changing when she discovered her powers, she didn't know who to trust, and then she had to fight multiple enemies. Cyborg is similar to Ciri since he also struggled with leading a new life after his accident. It took him a while to get closer to the Justice League, just like Ciri had to fight hard to build meaningful relationships. In the end, they both found new families they're happy in.
