The MCU but that doesn't mean it doesn't include good films, and a few great ones. It brought DC's biggest superheroes onto the big screen and formed a complex universe where everything is connected. Superhero films often struggle with the lack of good enough villains, someone who has a deeper motivation for what she or he is doing and isn't evil simply just to be evil.
The DCEU villains have so far mostly ended up punished for their crimes, but some of them deserved worse than they got. Here are 10 DCEU villains who deserved harsher consequences.
Black Manta
Black Manta was the main baddie in the 2018 Black Manta didn't see it that way though, he tracked Aquaman down and attacked both him and Mera. Aquaman won the fight in the end, but Black Manta remained alive while he deserved to be stopped once and for all.
Roman Sionis
Roman Sionis was a fun enough villain, albeit a bit one-dimensional one, but that's a common problem in superhero films. He liked to surround himself with pretty and exotic things but he had absolutely no regard for human life. Sionis led a night club and he hated Harley for a variety of reasons. He was also sadistic and enjoyed torturing, killing, and humiliating people. Basically, he just wanted to be the ruler of Gotham but wasn't able to stop Harley and her allies. He deserved to see his empire dismantled, bit by bit, but instead, Harley killed him.
Enchantress
The 2016 Harley Quinn, Deadshot, and the like. The worst thing the Enchantress did was ruining the life of her host, June Moone, by possessing her, and for that, she should have been punished far more than she was.
Ares
The fact that Sir Patrick was actually the God of War himself, Ares, in disguise, was one of the biggest plot twists in the 2017 film Wonder Woman (unless you guessed it in advance). In the comics, Ares is Diana's half-brother and her archnemesis, and he has the power to bring discord into the minds of men and to encourage war.
In their fight, Diana prevailed, but because she was too busy fighting Ares, she couldn't save Steve Trevor, the love of her life. And to top it all off, Ares escaped, and it's possible he could return one day to haunt Diana again.
Doctor Poison
Doctor Poison's origin story and character are a lot different in the comics. In the comics, she worked for the Nazis during the Second World War, while in the film, she's Spanish and lives during the First World War. Unlike her co-operative general, Erich Ludendorff got what was coming to him in the Wonder Woman, Doctor Poison did not. Diana killed general Ludendorff since she at first believed that he was Ares and by killing him, she'd save people from the war, but she was mistaken. Unlike Ludendorff, Doctor Poison survived, which is more than she deserved considering the awful experiments she did on people and all those whom she had killed.
Ocean Master
Black Manta wasn't the only antagonist whom Aquaman faced in his solo DCEU film. The second one was Ocean Master, also known as Orm, who was Arthur's half-brother who ruled the Atlantis and wasn't at all happy that he'd have to give up his throne for the sake of his brother. The two fought and Orm not only tried to kill Arthur but he also went against Mera. They had something of a reconciling in the end, but after everything he'd done, Orm wasn't all that punished - and he got to reunite with his mother.
Doctor Sivana
Doctor Sivana is Shazam's biggest enemy in the comics, so it's no wonder he was the main antagonist in Shazam's solo movie. Since Shazam was primarily oriented on children and the younger audience in general, it makes sense that Shazam and his friends didn't kill Doctor Sivana in the film.
Not that he wouldn't deserve it, considering that he would kill children if given the chance, and also didn't mind murdering his own family, which is almost as evil as you can get.
Joker
This version of the Birds of Prey rolls around, Joker is still alive and kicking, which is much more than can be said for his many victims. Not to mention that he abused Harley and mentally tormented her, which is a big no-no in any relationship.
Amanda Waller
Wait, what? Many people might ask. And while Amanda Waller may not have been the main antagonist in the Suicide Squad (that dubious honor went to the Enchantress), it's still difficult to overlook that Waller's actions and her unwise decision are one of the reasons why the Enchantress was able to escape and wreak havoc in the first place. To think that someone would be able to contain a powerful magical being and use her for her own gain is a silly mistake, one Waller should have been punished for since she indirectly endangered the lives of many people this way.
Lex Luthor
And the award for the worst DCEU villain goes to...
Well, some fans liked Jesse Eisenberg's portrayal of Superman (temporarily), he simply wasn't frightening. Lex Luthor ended in prison but he escaped, and he deserves to be locked up again.
