Guy Gardner's Suit Bears A Striking Detail

Fillion is playing the Guy Gardner version of Green Lantern in Superman. Different from Ryan Reynolds' Hal Jordan in 2011's Green Lantern, Fillion will be sporting a physical costume as his DCU hero, which already starts things off on a positive note. As Gunn had previously revealed, the actor can be seen in the Superman set photos with Guy Gardner's signature red hair and bowl cut. As for his suit, there are some interesting details.

A new secret character has seemingly been confirmed for James Gunn's Superman after new set photos and videos, and the DCU player is very powerful.

Different from the other Green Lanterns, Guy is known to wear a jacket in the comics as part of his superhero suit. Fillion's look in Superman also sees the Green Lantern don a jacket, though Guy Gardner's costume is not completely comic book-accurate. The DCU movie adds a lot more white to Guy's suit. While the Green Lantern's costume has white elements, like gloves, in the comics, Guy's suit is usually a fully green jacket with black pants and sleeves.

There is also another striking detail that differentiates Guy Gardner's Green Lantern suit in Superman from his classic comic book look. Guy sports the same symbol on his suit as Mister Terrific. There is a DCU theory that the Justice League International is in Superman, as set photos from the movie point to the logo on the heroes' costumes being from LORDTECH. The company belongs to Maxwell Lord, who was the JLI's manager in the comics and will be played by Sean Gunn in the DCU. Fillion's Green Lantern costume changes could be part of a team design in Superman.
