Deadline confirms that Prime Video will be moving forward with Deadloch season 2. Lead stars Kate Box and Madeleine Sami will reprise their roles as Dulcie Collins and Eddie Redcliff, respectively, with production set to begin later this year. That happens when the bodies of two Top End icons get discovered in a remote town. This throws open an investigation that's described as sweatier and stickier than what the detectives have previously encountered. There will also be other returning actors from the previous season, with Nina Oyama and Alicia Gardiner coming back as Abby Matsuda and Cath York.

Deadloch season 1 earned high marks all around, boasting 100% on Rotten based on 22 reviews. The audience score is also high, sitting at 89%. The series has gained praise for its performances, in addition to the writing which has fun with the tropes of the crime procedural while still delivering what audiences might expect from the genre.
