Fantastic Four’s powers. With the team’s MCU debut on the horizon, this acquisition of power is even more notable. But the question remains: will Deadpool be able to handle the might of the Fantastic Four, or will it majorly backfire on him?

The best-selling, fan-favorite series Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe returns with yet another sequel: Cullen Bunn, Dalibor Talajić, Lee Loughridge, and Joe Sabino’s Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe One Last Time.

This limited series sees the Merc with a Mouth take a break from hunting Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to target the worst of the worst: a whole Multiverse of Marvel’s greatest gone bad, from world-breaking Hulks to werewolf Captain Americas. The series kicked off in April, but solicitations suggest that issue #4 may be of particular note, as it hints that Marvel will soon be giving Deadpool the Fantastic Four’s powers.

One of the most notable aspects of Wade’s Marvel Universe–slaughtering adventures is that, along with his kills, he has been collecting souvenirs, or more accurately, trophies. Among these acquisitions are a symbiote and even Captain America’s shield. If this pattern continues, fans can expect him to keep picking up more trophies from his future kills. Since he is targeting a universe where heroes have turned bad, it is clear that those trophies will continue to come from Marvel’s Mightiest Heroes, specifically those who have fallen from grace. Judging by the main cover by Davide Paratore for Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe One Last Time #4, it looks like Deadpool’s next trophy is coming from the Fantastic Four.

Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe One Last Time #4 doesn't release until July 2, 2025, but thanks to the synopsis and Paratore’s cover, fans can already make some inferences about what is to come. Notably, Deadpool is shown wielding the powers of the Fantastic Four’s Human Torch, Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, and The Thing. His body displays the elasticity of Reed Richards, one arm combines the flames of Johnny Storm and the impenetrable rock of Ben Grimm, and his other arm takes on Sue Storm’s invisibility. Some fans may be wondering how Wade ends up with these powers, and it seems the answer may lie with Doctor Doom.

The synopsis for Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe One Last Time #4 states that Wade is on the search for unlimited power after realizing that his healing factor and top-notch wit are not enough to combat the worst monsters of the Multiverse. The synopsis then poses the questions, “What power could defeat the Earth's mightiest heroes? And can Deadpool trust Doctor Doom to give it to him?!” This suggests that Wade may soon be making a deal with Doctor Doom for new powers, and if the main cover is any indication, there is a possibility that Deadpool will soon come into possession of the Fantastic Four’s powers.
