One of the most surprising reveals at PlayStation 5 port. Director Hideo Kojima dropped by for an interview with Geoff Keighley, teasing his next game with some vague and cryptic statements, noting that he wants to do something really new, but he didn't go very in-depth. Of course, he didn't want to leave people without something of substance, so he revealed the trailer for Death Standing: Director's Cut.

The PS5 version of Death Stranding has been rumored for quite some time, and - given the title - it may actually clue fans in as to what they can expect from the new version of the PS4 exclusive. Although not mentioned at The Last of Us Part II will also be coming to PS5, so it's quite possible that rumor has been given a lot more credibility given the confirmation of Death Stranding: Director's Cut.

Hideo Kojima's PlayStation State of Play reveal is also on the way.

Death Stranding: Director's Cut is rumored to have new story content, but it's unclear how much will be added. It's also expected to be much more than just a simple port with graphical and technical enhancements, but more about what exactly these new additions are due to be announced later in the summer. Whether or not Hideo Kojima will also use that time to detail his studio's next game remains to be seen, but there are already plenty of rumblings about what it could be.

Rumors have suggested that Hideo Kojima's next game is expected to be announced soon, and a PS5 version of Death Stranding: Director's Cut is finally on the way.
