Players are finally able to get their hands on what will later become the United Kingdom and Norway as they face off against many strong enemies.
Many of these difficult enemies are the different bosses that players have to face off against. The earliest boss in the game, Rikiwulf, presents a very large challenge for newcomers to the game as they must quickly learn a lot of Assassin's Creed Valhalla's fighting mechanics if they hope to survive this fight. This guide shows players how to defeat Rikiwulf in combat.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla: How to Beat Rikiwulf
Rikiwulf is one of the very first enemies that players will face off against, so this fight basically serves as an in-depth combat tutorial. There are two different phases to this fight, so players will want to stay on their toes and pay attention in order to know how to bring down Rikiwulf in both phases.
During the first phase, Rikiwulf will wield a very large two-handed axe. Attacks with this axe are very slow but will take a large amount of health from the player. The thing to note during this phase is that Rikiwulf will begin to glow with a red aura before using a stronger attack, and this lets players know that they need to quickly dodge out of the way. Rikiwulf will be stunned for a moment after dishing out one of these attacks, which will in turn allow the player to dish out some damage. Just continue dodging and attacking until he drops the big axe and switches to his dual hammers.
During this second phase of the fight, Rikiwulf is considerably faster than before, but since his weapons aren't as strong his new attacks can be blocked. If players press the block button just before his attacks land they can be parried, which will stun Rikiwulf momentarily. Players are then given a few seconds to attack him as many times as they want. If Rikiwulf glows red for a moment it means he is about to use his kick attack, which should be avoided at all costs to avoid taking damage. Players will just need to keep parrying and attacking until Rikiwulf goes down.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla can be played on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5.
