Delays can allow for a series to be done in a manner that allows it to reach its full and undivided potential and with the way the world is right now, streaming services are the ones that need the most attention to detail. Of course, there are some times when even time can't help a series.

Great: WandaVison (2021)

After a year without any WandaVision at the start of 2021. While it was intended to come out in December of 2020, the series was pushed due to COVID.

Truth be told, despite WandaVision proving itself to be a unique take on the MCU, it's too early to say it's the best of the best as fan theories still swirl about the series. Due to its slow-burn quality, the true extent of its greatness will only really be seen when the show reaches its end in March.

Flopped: Carnival Row (2019)

Potential is always a tricky thing with an idea as big as Carnival Row. A series that went through years of development and finally premiered in 2019, the series had the potential to be amazing, blending fantasy themes with an almost steampunk setting.

However, the series, like many fantasy ones before it, fell into the trap of allowing the political nature and war between humans and fairies to drive the show into cliches despite its intriguing premise of murder and mystery. Perhaps the second season can save the series.

Given one final season to shine, Clone Wars went all out, crafting a heart-wrenchingly beautiful animated series that recaptured the old days of the show. Apparently, the revival was enough to garner the series a spinoff, The Bad Batch that already has fans speculating what they'll see.

Flopped: Most Dangerous Game (2020)

The sad truth is, most of the series that were released on the now-defunct app Most Dangerous Game wasn't delayed per se, it took the show a while to take off due to Quibi's prolonged release schedule.

As a movie, Most Dangerous Game would be amazing. Yet, released in seven-minute segments over several days took away from the series in so many ways, drawing it out and even making it boring. Maybe it's for the best that Quibi is dead.

Great: Young Justice Season 3 (2019)

Much like with Clone Wars, another series that was long since dead got a chance to be revived on a now-dead service(ironic). Young Justice was a series many fans adored during its two-season run and were devastated when the series was canceled.

Luckily, in 2019, the series was revived by the streaming service HBO Max.

Stupidity is far more common in the tv industry than people realize. Whether it's due to toy sales canceling a show or actors being written off for dumb reasons, nothing quite screams stupid like why Star Trek: Discovery was delayed.

Set in the ever-expanding universe, Star Trek: Discovery was delayed for all because the creators wanted to get the costumes right. While that attention to detail is key, it could've been focused more on the writing as the series never seems to find its stride in the Star Trek pantheon.

Time in-between seasons is always a tedious experience for audiences. When a great series is put on hold, it makes them wonder if the product will be any good. So when Defenders miniseries, fans were skeptical.

Despite the Defenders being a misfire, waiting an extra year for the third season was worth it. The third season of Daredevil has been considered the best of their series for its action, writing, characters, and acting being all across the board and exceeding fans' expectations, with many hoping the horned hero returns to the MCU.

Flopped: Black Mirror (2011)

Now, many a time, the wait between a series isn't going to yield the best results. The truth is, taking time to develop more content is always a struggle like with Black Mirror.

A series that dives deep into technology and showcases them in a darker light, Black Mirror's had plenty of success over the years despite some unpopular opinions from Reddit. However, in recent seasons that took two to three years to be made, the series saw a drop in quality that has made fans wonder if the show should keep being delayed or canceled.

Despite some problems, as a whole, the series works despite its delay and proved itself to be a staple of the year 2020. Lifted by one of Kaley Cuoco's best roles as Cassie and the intriguing story, the series is even set to receive a second season coming out sometime in the near future.

Flopped: Titans (2018)

Just because something's dark and mature doesn't always mean it's good. For years, Titans, a series that probably needed some more time.

Titans' biggest problem comes from its characters. With villains being set-up only to fail(with Scarecrow hopefully being an exception, depending on the storyline), the main characters feel far too dark and gritty, nothing like the fun-loving heroes audiences are used to that bogs down the series and hurts it in more ways than one.
