Hollywood legend Denzel Washington has confirmed that he will be making his Ryan Coogler's as-yet-unannounced Black Panther 3 very exciting. The late Chadwick Boseman, who portrayed T'Challa's Black Panther, honored Denzel Washington in 2019, noting that "there is no Black Panther without Denzel Washington" (via AFI), and the iconic actor will soon return the favor.
Speaking on T'Challa's superhero costume, though there are many other avenues Marvel Studios could take with Denzel Washington's possible appearance as a Black Panther in Black Panther 3.

After the successful releases of Echo, Deadpool & Wolverine and Agatha All Along, the future of the MCU is looking brighter, and Denzel Washington ing Black Panther 3's cast is a sign of this continued growth. Following Boseman's 2019 comments, this is also the perfect way to pay homage to the late MCU star, who tragically ed away after a battle with cancer in 2020.
There is perhaps no greater character for Denzel Washington to portray in the MCU than a version of the Black Panther, particularly since his influence was so pivotal in allowing the Black hero to be brought into live-action. While some have theorized he could play an older variant of T'Challa, it's also possible he could be a new Wakandan resident ascending to the position, or a historical version of the Black Panther. This could debut one of T'Challa's regal ancestors to the MCU, perhaps even Bashenga, the first Black Panther, whom Denzel Washington certainly has the power to deliver.
