A new trailer has arrived announcing the release date for Destroy All Humans! and it couldn't have come at a better time. The original Destroy All Humans! released in 2005 on the Star Wars: Battlefront games and the open world explosion-focused Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction. The game was set in the 1950's and focused on an alien named Crypto who was sent to overtake the planet Earth by any means necessary, including attacking humans with anal probes and using his flying saucer to decimate entire towns.
Now new Destroy All Humans! remake will launch, and that's not the only new information they recently learned.
As shared by Crypto himself on Twitter, the United States Department of Defense recently released declassified footage of three different UFO sightings, causing the hashtag #AliensExist to begin trending on Twitter earlier today. Crypto, apparently upset that the government beat him to his own reveal, shared a slightly edited version of the documented video footage, this time making sure to show what he calls "the full version." A few hours later, Crypto revealed another video on his Twitter, this time showing off both gameplay footage and a release date for Destroy All Humans!, which is July 28th, 2020. Based on the above trailer, as well as some previously released screenshots of the Destroy All Humans! remake, the game looks like it's going to be incredibly pretty while retaining all of the inane and ridiculous aspects of the original. Whether Crypto is flying around on his jetpack, taking on the appearance of normal 1950's civilians, or using his ship's tractor beam to smash cars into buildings, it appears that all the chaotic mayhem which was included in the original game will still be on full display here.
While it's unlikely that THQ Nordic and the team behind Destroy All Humans! were able to plan in advance to release their trailer so soon after the unclassified UFO sightings were released to the public, it's still an incredibly lucky coincidence. The world may not yet understand what fast-moving object was captured by those video cameras, but they do know that everyone's favorite wise-cracking alien from Destroy All Humans! will be returning to their living rooms in just a few months.
