Lumen could also watch a TV broadcast revealing the Bay Harbor Butcher’s identity and see Harrison, which could potentially lead her to find Harrison and teach him how she was able to successfully suppress the urge to kill. Given Lumen spent a lot of time with Harrison as a baby after Rita Morgan’s murder, their reunion would make sense for Dexter season 10.
What Dexter Being Exposed As The Bay Harbor Butcher Means For Lumen
Since the vast majority of characters who knew about Dexter's Dark enger are dead, Lumen is one of the few people who could still get into legal trouble for not only keeping Dexter’s secret safe, but murdering several people with him. Angela and Batista were ready to expose Dexter as the Bay Harbor Butcher in Dexter: New Blood’s finale, indicating the news will already be out by the time Dexter season 10 potentially begins. If so, Lumen could be on the run to avoid the authorities, or she may already be jailed if the police discover that she killed Alex Tilden and Jordan Chase with Dexter’s help.
Considering Dexter: New Blood’s finale was incredibly divisive, a Harrison Morgan spinoff may not be how Showtime proceeds with the Dexter franchise. Still, Lumen being one of the few living characters from the original Dexter series means she’s likely to appear in a spinoff. Stiles told Forbes in 2020 that she was open to reprising her role in New Blood, so should another opportunity arise to bring back her character in the franchise, Lumen Pierce shouldn’t be counted out for Dexter season 10.
