Changes to Diablo 2: Resurrected include updated graphics that are much more defined and a lot of color correction. Some of the character models in the new version have also been changed drastically, and there is improved frame rate. Using Legacy mode will revert these changes and give long-time fans of the series a way to play the older version without having to switch games. Below are the button(s) used to activate Legacy mode on each platform:

  • Xbox - LT + View
  • Ninetndo Switch - ZL + Minus (-)
  • Playstation - L2 + Touchpad
  • PC - G

The same button, or button combination, is used to turn off Legacy mode and switch back to the updated game graphics. Alternatively, PC players can switch to Legacy in the character creation screen. Above the 7 classes, there is a Toggle button that will change the game to Legacy. For console players, the only way to trigger Legacy mode is by using the commands listed above.
