Dungeons are all across Sanctuary in Diablo IV, including a place players can find called Maugaun's Works that has tons of enemies to farm experience from as well as a special Aspect used by the Barbarian class. In fact, a unique bug has been discovered as of this time of writing that makes this particular dungeon all the more enticing to track down. Players looking to level up their characters quickly can use Maugaun's Works to farm XP like a few other locations in the game.
Players are recommended to play through the main story long enough to unlock a Mount in Diablo 4 to make traveling through Sanctuary easier. The amount of enemy hordes that appear in the world along with Events can make it tedious to find the Maugaun's Works dungeon on foot. Unlocking waypoints by liberating Strongholds or discovering new villages are also good ways to fast travel to areas close to the dungeon.
How to Find the Maugaun's Works Dungeon in Diablo 4
Maugaun's Works dungeon can be found north of the Vyeresz Waypoint in Hawezar, slightly west of a set of Makeshift Barricades that block the player's path in that direction. Any kind of damaging skill will destroy the Barricades in no time, but players will likely have to contend with some enemies guarding the region along the way. The dungeon itself has enemies depending on the World Tier difficulty players have on, which can be changed at the Inarius Statue in Diablo 4's Kyovashad.
A side quest in this dungeon sees players attempt to save six prisoners, which will cause a mini-boss to spawn that drops a key leading further into the dungeon. Players familiar with many of the dungeons in Diablo 4 shouldn't be surprised by the tasks they need to accomplish to clear the area and defeat the main boss within.
Completing Maugaun's Works unlocks the Earthstriker's Aspect, a power gear infusion used by the Barbarian class in the Codex of Power.
How to Trigger the Maugaun's Works Exploit in Diablo 4
There is a way for players to create an infinite XP farm through the Maugaun's Works dungeon, causing enemies to constantly respawn. Since this specific dungeon has far more enemies than normal loot caves in Diablo 4, players will want to use this area to grind out to a higher character level fast. To accomplish this, players should not complete the dungeon once they go through it so that these enemies aren't cleared out.
After players gain XP from the larger enemy hordes, they need to leave the dungeon and leave the game before reing their session. Jumping back into the Maugaun's Works dungeon gives players a chance to find all the enemies inside again, a process they can repeat as many times as they must for consistent XP farming in Diablo IV.
