With the release of Disney Dreamlight Valley's newest update, The Lucky Dragon, Mulan and Mushu have finally arrived. In addition to the Memory Mania event that has introduced Inside Out 2 companions and the new Star Path, Dreamlight Castle has added a brand-new door that will transport players to Mulan's realm for 15,000 Dreamlight.

Unfortunately, bringing Mulan and Mushu to the Valley will require a lot of work, so players will want to get started immediately. Upon entering the realm, you'll be able to spot Mushu first. Speak with him to receive your very quest, A New Recruit, which will require you to clean up the camp and collect some training gear.

Where To Find Mulan & Mushu In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Unlock The Realm & Prepare Mulan's Breakfast

As seen in Kitsune Kizuki Games's video, after speaking with Mushu, he'll ask that you begin by cleaning up the mess at camp, which includes breaking the rocks, digging up the rice spills, and flipping the cauldron back over. Following that, you'll be asked to find four pieces of training gear: pants, a shirt, shoes, and socks.

The shoes can be found outside the camp, back where you first entered the realm, next to some rocks. The pants will also be found outside the camp, hanging on a tree near the entrance gate. For the socks and shirt, check the tents inside the camp that have sparkles coming off them.

Once you've equipped all your gear, Mushu will give you your next task, which includes preparing Mulan's breakfast. For this task, you'll need to prepare Mushu's Congee, a five-star recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley made up of Rice, Ginger, Eggs, Mushroom, and Garlic.

Now that Mulan's breakfast is ready ring the gong to wake her up, and you can present her with Mushu's Congee. Once she takes the meal from you, head back to Mushu to prepare for your next quest, The Dragon Army.

How To Complete Protecting The Camp & Unlock Mulan

Complete Dragon Army Training With Mulan

Mushu will need you to complete a couple more tasks, starting with snapping a picture of him. Once you've done that, you'll need to gather several items, including 50x Mud, 3x Buckets of Water, 10x Firewood, 10x Red Spider Lilies, and 5x Chrysanthemums.

All of these items can be gathered inside the realm. Find the red and yellow flowers, firewood scattered on the ground throughout the realm, and water buckets and mud near the river.

With all the items in hand, head to the crafting bench in the realm to craft the Unified Dragon Statues. Unfortunately, this will additionally require Dream Shards, which were not mentioned initially, so you may need to gather more Dream Shards back in the valley if you do not have enough. With the statue, return to Mushu and place all the items in the Kiln, which you will now need to wait for. Fortunately, you can speak with Mulan for some training in the meantime.

While Mushu's quest is on hold, you will begin your first official quest with Mulan, A Defender's Training. Mulan will require you to complete a series of tasks, including fishing for 10 Salmon, breaking some bricks, and collecting pebbles throughout a maze.

Speak with Mulan again, and she'll ask that you add some of your newly caught fish to the soup cooking in the cauldron. When all the tasks have been completed, complete your quests with Mulan and then Mushu by speaking with them.

The pebbles can be hard to find, but be sure to be thorough. For example, the hardest pebble to find is sneakily hidden behind the white cloth gate you enter through. When the door opens, the pebble gets pushed behind it, so be sure to look there.

Following your conversation, a cutscene will trigger showcasing a rockslide and officially beginning your next quest, Clearing The Road. For this quest, you'll need to clean up the area where the rock slide just occurred by digging out sand piles, fishing for logs, and breaking rocks.

When you've finished all that, you still won't be entirely done, as Mulan now needs assistance with planting and watering some tree seeds. Note that one planting spot is hidden in some foliage by the river and can be hard to spot.

When you've completed all that, you'll need to make some sandbags. Luckily, you'll have already collected all the sand you need, but you may be short on fiber. If so, you may need to make some out of seaweed, if you have any, or even head back to the valley and see if Kristoff is selling any at his stall. When you've made all the sandbags, bring them back to Mulan to finally earn the opportunity to ask her to come back to the valley with you, but she won't be ready to go until Mushu is.

Finish The Quest To Officially Welcome Mulan & Mushu

Unfortunately, Mushu will have a bit more for you to do to prevent future landslides before he agrees to leave. He would like you to help build a fence around the camp, requiring you to fish for more logs out of the river. When you have all the wood you need, head back to the crafting station and build all the pieces of Mushu's fence. Place all four pieces in your hand before speaking with Mushu again, who will ask you to help send the signal.

When the cutscene ends, speak with Mulan again, who will finally ask you to find a place for her and Mushu in the valley. Now, all that's left to do is head back to the valley and find a spot for their home. Luckily, they utilize one home, so you won't need to spend money constructing two different structures, but it will still cost you 20,000 Gold Coins to build. Once it is built, Mulan will automatically be welcomed to the valley, but you'll need to head back to the realm for Mushu.

Unsurprisingly, Mushu has one last task for you before he is ready to Mulan. He has a surprise for you but will need you to help track down Mulan's missing key. Head back to the landslide area, which is now pretty and blossoming, and check next to the pile of three wooden carts and sandbags. Bring it back to Mushu, who will lead you to the chest where you can claim your surprise, a Defender's Sword. Once you've completed this final task, you can officially welcome Mushu to Disney Dreamlight Valley.
