The Wonderland Whimsy update has finally arrived in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and with it comes the Alice in Wonderland realm featuring Alice herself. If you hope to bring her and the Cheshire Cat to the valley, you'll first need to find Alice by exploring the forest and avoiding the Card Guards in the Queen's garden maze.

While the Cheshire Cat is also an unlockable character as part of the Wonderland Whimsy update, the two will not be unlocked simultaneously. Similar to other characters, Alice will be formally welcomed to the valley first upon completion of her quest in the realm, while the Cheshire Cat will follow and require some extra work in the valley to befriend it.

How To Unlock The Alice In Wonderland Realm

Spend Dreamlight With Merlin To Unlock The Door & Follow The White Rabbit

While some characters that have been introduced into Dreamlight Valley through other means, like Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Alice will be introduced more traditionally through a realm. Simply put, this means that instead of finding some strange item around the valley and solving a riddle to reveal her, you will just need to head straight to the Dreamlight Castle in the Plaza and find her door.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Patch Notes Confirm Photo Mode Overhaul, & More Exciting Updates On The Way

The latest free update is coming soon to Disney Dreamlight Valley, and it's bringing exciting updates, including an improved photo mode.

The door can be found at the top of the Dreamlight Castle, next to Aladdin, and will be recognized by the hat icon on it. Once you've found it, interact with it to prompt Merlin to appear and discuss unlocking the door with Dreamlight magic. The cost of the door is 15,000 Dreamlight, which should come as no surprise considering the last two doors have also seemed to cap at this amount. Given all the uses of this currency in Disney Dreamlight Valley, if you're running a bit low, try to complete some duties you're close to finishing or craft it through Dreamlight Shards, if you have any of those lying around.

Be sure to check your mailbox as the developers have provided 2,500 Dreamlight to players as part of the 25 Years of Gameloft celebration, along with other rewards.

Once you unlock the door, a small white rabbit will escape from it, and the door will shrink, kicking off the Wonders of Wonderland quest. Merlin will instruct you to follow the rabbit into the Plaza of the valley, where you should find it waiting on the other side of the well, in the grass.

Follow it down the steps into the Peaceful Meadow and continue to chase it back into the Plaza, where it will stop along the path leading into the Forest of Valor. Here, there will be a hole in the rocks where the rabbit will disappear, and a pocket watch will be left. Collect the watch and enter the rabbit hole beside it, which will transport you into the Alice in Wonderland realm.

Wonders Of Wonderland Quest In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Search For Alice With The Unhelpful Help Of The Cheshire Cat

Once you've unlocked and entered Alice's realm through the rabbit hole, enter the forest directly ahead of you to find Alice. After speaking with her, she will instruct you to follow her deeper into the forest. At this point, Alice has seemingly disappeared, so investigate her footsteps and then speak with Alice in Wonderland's Cheshire Cat, who can be found in the red tree directly ahead of you. The Cheshire Cat will tell you that if you hope to find Alice, you must find him first. From here, search the forest for the Cheshire Cat's smile.

Find The Cheshire Cat Faces

When you head down the path to the right of the red tree, you'll reach another circular path. Directly to the left of you, you should see the Cheshire Cat's smiling face on some bushes, assuming that these aren't randomized. Interact with it to remove it. From here, there will be a left and a right path. Take the right path, where you should find some flowers with faces and another circular clearing with a path to the left, right, and straight ahead. From this clearing, take the left path. In this clearing, turn a little to the right, and you should see another face on the tree there.

From this clearing with the second face, take the right path, the one to the left of the tree that had the face. When you reach the next clearing, go right again. Now go straight ahead on what would be considered the left path. When you reach the next clearing, turn your camera so you're facing your avatar, and you should see the last face on a rock beside you. To return to the cat, take a right and continue to the next clearing, and then continue straight until you reach the red tree with the Cheshire Cat again.

Find The Ingredients

After speaking with the Cheshire Cat, he'll inform you that you need to find some ingredients for him now. All of these items are lying on the ground, disguised as a purple/pink piece of wood or bush. If you interact with it, it will produce a chest containing one of the ingredients. You may have already picked up some while looking for the faces, but if not, just explore along the paths and collect all the glowing purple things you find until you have collected all the ingredients. Some of the objects, instead of containing ingredients, will have purple keys instead, but this is for much later, so don't worry about it for now.

Now that you have all the ingredients, speak with the Cheshire Cat again to find out what you need to cook. The cooking station is back where you first spawned into the realm. Both of these recipes will already be logged, so open your cooking menu, navigate to the quest tab, and you should see both the Sweet and Spicy recipes there. Once you've cooked both, combine them with the pocket watch to cook More Time, eat it, and then speak with the Cheshire Cat again.

Follow The Mome Rath Arrows

Now you'll need to follow the Mome Rath arrows, which are the colorful flower petals on the ground. The first one is beside the Cheshire Cat's tree. When you approach the pile of flowers, they'll rearrange to form an arrow, so get close enough to trigger them and then follow them until you reach the end with a portal inside a tree. You can look for it on your own, but it's confusing and easy to get lost, so I wouldn't recommend it.

The Queen's Maze Quest

From the portal, you'll need to travel through the Queen's Garden maze to find a lever. There are Card Guards throughout the maze, and you must avoid their line of sight, which is indicated by a yellow glowing circle. Note that some of the bushes shrink upon approach, but it's somewhat easy to tell which bushes these are. Be sure to check them, as most of the levers will be hidden behind them, and you don't want to risk having to backtrack. Once you've switched all the levers, look for the end of the maze marked by a line of Card Guards lined up. It's safe to through them.

Teeny Tiny Problems Quest

When you find Alice, you'll find that she's dealing with a small problem. She's shrunk. She needs you to head back to the forest and speak with the Cheshire Cat, which can be done by using the mushroom beside her to by the guards. Speak with the Cheshire Cat, who will tell you to head back to the entrance of the realm and fish in the pond for a Jar of Hearts. After this, go and speak with the flowers in the center of the forest, who will ask you to water the smaller flowers with the watering can.

The next task will ask you to find a mushroom that's feeling blue, which refers to the one at the entrance of the realm. It's large and right near where the entrance area turns into a path. It will drop smaller mushrooms for you to collect. Next, the Pencil Bird can be found on the stack of books, right in this same area. After a series of questions, the Pencil Bird will drop the last item for you to collect. Now you can craft the Perfume at the station in the entrance area. Now go back to the mushroom, not the one at the entrance, but the one at the end of the forest, to return to Alice.

One dedicated Disney Dreamlight Valley player has created the ultimate reminder for fellow players not to pick up their memory shards.

After speaking with her, she'll share that she was there to free some rabbits and needs your help. Head back to the table you found her on and use the Perfume on yourself to shrink down and then climb up the plates to press the bottle and re-grow again, after taking a photo. Speak with Alice again and then collect all the game pieces on the ground around this garden area. Place them on the table and then shrink again to use them to reach the keys.

To collect the keys, you'll need to find your way around the table. Some will be easier to grab, others will require you to complete other paths first. For the one trapped in sugar cubes, you'll need to water it with the watering can to get it out. The one in the cupcake needs to be dug out. Finally, for the one in the cup, you'll need to mine the large teapot to break it and fill the cup, and then go along the other path to fish out the key. Once you have all the keys, head back to Alice.

Leaving Wonderland Quest

Use the Pot of Red Paint that Alice provides from your inventory and clean up the Queen's Garden per her instructions. Then head back to the entrance of the realm and meet with her before listening to her chat with the Cheshire Cat. You'll be asked to light the correct glowing mushroom combination at the entrance. The answer is purple and blue, one for the Cheshire Cat and one for Alice. Once the realm door spawns, use the watering can, which is now equipped with the perfume, to grow the door and return to the valley, where you can finally welcome Alice after placing her home for 5,000 Star Coins.

All Alice Friendship Rewards

Befriend Alice Up To Level 10 To Enjoy All Of Her Friendship Rewards

As with every villager in Disney Dreamlight Valley, befriending Alice not only means you will gain another companion for one of the many tasks you complete around the valley, but you will also have new rewards to earn for each level of friendship. Fitting for Alice, most of her rewards feature wacky designs on motifs, clothes, and furniture. Additionally, as with every villager, there are a couple of small monetary rewards, but they're almost not worth prioritizing, considering their low value.

To unlock all the rewards, you'll need to level Alice's friendship up to the max, level 10. The quickest way to do this is to speak with her and find out her favorite gifts for the day. Providing her with each of these will earn more friendship than these items traditionally would, helping you reach higher levels quicker. In addition to this, be sure to chat with her every day, invite her to hang out with you while completing tasks, even if it's not her specialty, and serve her meals in the restaurants anytime you see her there.

That being said, don't forget that she will unlock friendship-related quests as well. Typically, there are 3 to 4 friendship quests per villager, and each one must be completed before the next one can begin. This means that even if you max out her friendship, if you have not completed the earlier friendship quest, the next one will not unlock. While this doesn't keep you from getting rewards 1-9, this will prevent you from receiving the last reward. To unlock reward 10, all friendship quests, including the level 10 friendship quest, must be completed.

Keep in mind that some of Alice's friendship quests may require specific friendship levels with other characters to be reached, but if you think this is the case, simply check your quest the main menu. Navigate down to Alice under friendship quests, and you will see what the missing requirements are, including other characters or story quests.

Once you've completed all of her quests, maxed out her friendship, and received all her rewards, your time with Alice is complete. From here, you're free to move your attention to the other Wonderland Whimsy character, the Cheshire Cat, and complete some of the Garden of Whimsy Star Path tasks to earn those rewards as well in Disney Dreamlight Valley before they expire.
