When a fan tried to round up all the fruit trees in Disney Dreamlight Valley, they discovered that one apple tree appeared to be "missing." The cozy Valley is full of resources to forage, including fruit trees and bushes that can be harvested to create delectable in-game meals. Unlike many decorations, forageable trees and shrubs are pre-determined, with every Valley only having a fixed number of them.
Luckily, the trees can be relocated to anywhere in the Valley, so players often round them up into a central "orchard" for easy picking (and an aesthetic look!). Reddit Mediocre-Rhubarb-494 discovered a disappointing fact about fruit trees that can disrupt an orderly presentation: The number of trees varies by type.
Dreamlight Valley Has An Uneven Number Of Forageable Trees And Bushes
The Numbers Don't Line Up, Literally
The issue was uncovered when the Redditor tried to place all their fruit trees in rows of six, but could find only five apple trees. "I've looked all over but can't seem to find another," they write. "Am I just missing it somehow or [are] there only 5 in the valley?" Unfortunately, there are, in fact, only five apple trees, while other tree varieties like lemon and cocoa bean have six of each.
In general, there are three to five of each type of fruit tree and bush, located in different biomes throughout the Valley. Although they're originally found all over the in-game world, all can be moved into one single location for ease of access. Here is how many of each type of forageable plants are in the game:
- 5 apple trees
- 5 blueberry bushes
- 8 raspberry bushes
- 5 banana trees
- 6 gooseberry bushes
- 6 cherry trees
- 6 lemon trees
- 6 cocoa bean trees
- 3 coconut trees
- 3 coffee bean bushes
The differing numbers can make it hard for players to organize their Valleys, and s like ilovetacos102 on Reddit express their annoyance at this minor but annoying inconvenience: "It drives me absolutely insane."
Dreamlight Valley Fans Offer Orchard Solutions
Mismatched Numbers Mean Fans Must Get Creative
The different number of resources makes it hard for players to structure their orchards, but the Dreamlight Valley community was quick to hop in with ideas. Redditor Tight-Health927 shared a screenshot of how they got around the number discrepancy by grouping trees and bushes into bunches and spreading them out instead of keeping everything in parallel rows.
