With the buzz following Disney Dreamlight Valley's Alice in Wonderland update starting to wind down and the Garden of Whimsy Star Path closing in on its deadline, players are left to wonder what the next Star Path might hold. Since the current one will be wrapping up on June 10, 2025, and there is usually about a week or so for players to finish collecting their rewards before the next one starts, we should still expect to see the next Star Path by the end of June.
Star Paths often fall in line with the theme of the overall update. Although this isn't always the case, as there have been a few rare exceptions like the Rock 'n Roll-themed The Night Show Star Path, it does seem that the overall intention is to have them complement each other. The developers at Gameloft are likely aware that layers will be decorating based on new character additions and will require fitting decor.
Star Paths Often Follow The Theme Of Updates
The Next Star Path Will Likely Focus On The Additions Of Peter Pan & Sleeping Beauty
Per the Disney Dreamlight Valley 2025 Road Map, which shows all the updates for the first half of the year, we already know that the free summer update is going to be centered around Peter Pan in some way. Additionally, those who have purchased the Storbook Vale expansion will be getting the part 2 finale update for that as well. This will unlock Maleficent, and it's expected to include Aurora, based on the fact that she has been a primary focus of the story and is the only other character that would make sense.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Fans Thank Gameloft For Listening To On Latest Star Path
Disney Dreamlight Valley's latest Garden of Whimsy Star Path fixes the mistakes of its previous events, and fans are grateful for it.
While many originally thought these updates would come later, there's a good chance that we may not have to wait until August to see these summer updates. Given that Disney Dreamlight Valley is already teasing the update on social media, we might instead see them at the same time as the next Star Path update. Although Star Paths aren't necessarily always one-to-one with the theme of the update, they do generally try to complement it.
For example, the last two major updates have been Alice in Wonderland, which featured the current Garden of Whimsy Star Path, and the Aladdin update, which featured the Desert Oasis Star Path. While they didn't necessarily theme every reward around the content of the update, they did feature a lot of items related to it. Desert Oasis included Jasmine's hairstyle, a bag featuring a Genie charm, and desert decor, while Garden of Whimsy included a Queen of Hearts-inspired outfit, an Absolem butterfly companion, talking flowers, and other strange decor.
There is still a small chance that the big summer update could be part of the Star Path update after this June one, but this seems unlikely given that Disney Dreamlight Valley has already begun dropping hints about the update on social media.
If the next Star Path follows a similar route, we can expect the next theme to stick to items that would work well with the addition of a new princess and Peter Pan, and maybe even Maleficent as well. However, if Disney Dreamlight Valley's latest teaser for the update is anything to go off of, then we may even be seeing Captain Hook added as part of the update as well, encouraging even more focus on pirate-themed items.
Pirates & Princesses Would Be Perfect For Summer 2025
Between Royal Decor & Pirate Attire, There Is Something For Everyone
While there are a fair number of princess-themed items in Disney Dreamlight Valley already, that doesn't mean DDV would shy away from giving a new Disney Princess major attention. Some of the princesses, like Tiana and Mulan, have even received entire Star Paths dedicated to them. Although that doesn't necessarily need to become a trend with every new princess, some iconic pieces of furniture or even Aurora's alternate dress color as a Dream Style for her could be great rewards, mixed in with some items to celebrate Maleficent's official welcome as well.

Why are the recent new realms in Disney Dreamlight Valley so difficult to navigate?
Before I jumped into the Alice in Wonderland realm in Disney Dreamlight Valley last night, I saw a post online advising players to leave a tracker on a villager back in the Valley so they could find an easy exit, and what a great piece of advice it was. The realm is gorgeous, but very hard to navigate, and the lack of a map doesn't help. This was a common complaint with the Aladdin realm, so I'm surprised that Disney Dreamlight Valley didn't take this on board before yesterday's update.
That being said, not every Disney fan prefers the classic princess vibe, which is why doing a fair split with the free part of the update would provide a good overall balance. If Peter Pan and Captain Hook are both welcomed, this could provide the chance to offer some rustic pirate-themed items that would also help fill the void in adequate beach decor. Additionally, since prince-themed outfits wouldn't be as notable as the iconic princess gowns, this would give those who feel neglected by the lack of masculine DDV attire the chance to have some recognizable Disney looks as well.
Given that there has been so much focus on fairies in recent Star Paths, I wouldn't expect much related to Tinker Bell as part of this one. Leaning more into the pirate side of Peter Pan will provide unique rewards that are vastly different from anything currently offered in the game. Plus, Tinker Bell will likely arrive in Disney Dreamlight Valley at some point through her own update anyway, perhaps through Pixie Hollow. It's best to hold off on any more fairy items until then, since that aesthetic has already been so saturated.
One Major Disney Event Could Influence The Next Star Path
Disneyland's 70th Anniversary Could Put Other DDV Ideas On Hold
Unfortunately, there is one factor that could shake things up and completely ignore the updates when it comes to deciding on a theme for the Star Path — Disneyland. Right now, Disneyland is in full celebration mode in honor of its 70th anniversary. While this wouldn't ordinarily have a huge impact on Disney things unrelated to the park itself, Disney Dreamlight Valley is different. When Walt Disney World was still celebrating its 50th anniversary, we saw several theme park-specific Star Paths and events that featured statues, rides, snack carts, and more as rewards.

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Currency Problem Just Keeps Getting Worse
Dreamlight has never been easy to accrue in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but with continuous ways to spend it being added, the problem is worsening.
Although I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to some 70th anniversary-themed items, I don't want them at the cost of anything else. Considering there are often periods where the game receives smaller updates alongside a new Star Path, this might be better saved for a time like that, especially since the anniversary is a year-long celebration. Alternatively, if Disney Dreamlight Valley opts to continue including bonus Star Paths with different rewards from the main star path, perhaps Disneyland's anniversary could be used for that instead to provide the best of both worlds.
