The newest Disney Dreamlight Valley expansion, Storybook Vale, has brought some new faces to the valley, but it's also brought a few new glitches. Among the newest arrivals to the game is Princess Merida, a beloved character from the Disney movie Brave, known for her bright orange curls and Scottish brogue.
With Merida making her way to the Valley, the horrifying nightmare-inducing GIF has resurfaced once again, showing bulging eyes and a t-pose from the movie. Luckily, this look did not make its way into the game, as the original poster states, "I don’t know what people are talking about. Merida looks great." Though some might rejoice at the thought of this dreadful image of Merida not being brought to the Valley, some players are left wishing for a costume in the GIFs' likeness.
Merida Is Still A Wee Bit Scary In The Latest Dreamlight Valley Storybook Vale Content
The Newest Expansion Is Still Smoothing Out Some Rough Edges
When Brave was first released in 2012, it used some revolutionary tech to render realistic hair one strand at a time. And she still looks amazing and every bit the fiery redhead in Disney Dreamlight Valley's expansion, at least most of the time. Storybook Vale is riddled with bugs, though, and even though Merida looks fine with a few bugs and glitches here and there, fans do think this rendering of her should come into the title as a costume or outfit, as Portal2player58 states, "That should be a costume for her in dreamlight valley."

The DDV community has remained ive in light of Merida's obvious physical differences from the title, though they aren't nearly as bad as they are in this GIF, with SveaBoBaya hilariously stating "Flawless queen and she isn't buggy AT ALL!" Another glitch mentioned by players has Merida, Flynn, and Hades "spin around in circles while running away from me backwards" any time players try to interact with them, as reported by stryker101.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Can Cook Up Some Seriously Interesting Looks
Glitches And Bugs Have Caused Plenty Of Hilarious Mishaps
Merida isn't the only Disney character to come with a few glitches in Dreamlight Valley. A visual glitch earlier this year resulted in the cursed cursed bale of hay cosplaying as the monster from It Follows (that is, following a player around).
Luckily, Disney is fairly quick about getting glitches like Merida's fixed. After getting a lot of backlash for their poor rendering of Belle's face in the game, the character's avatar was replaced with a much more appealing version. Who knows, though, maybe the developers will embrace this nightmare-fueled version of Merida for players in the magical Storybook Vale expansion of Disney Dreamlight Valley to enjoy.
