Summary
- Enchanted variants of Disney Lorcana: Shimmering Skies cards hold the most value due to unique art and foil treatment.
- Some valuable cards include Royal Tantrum, Donald Duck - Pie Slinger and Clarabelle - Light On Her Hooves.
- Cards based on The Sword and the Stone reign supreme in value as of the launch of Shimmering Skies.
Shimmering Skies brings a batch of new cards to Disney Lorcana, and as usual, some of those additions are picking up a lot more value than others. Like prior expansions, Shimmering Skies is iterating on the core mechanics of the game with new abilities and effects. It's also adding some new characters into the mix, with the cast of Wreck-It Ralph playing a heavy role in the marketing for the set.
As is typical of Disney Lorcana, the most valuable cards in Shimmering Skies are Enchanted variants. These rarities are identical in function to their more common counterparts, but they feature alternate art and a special "Inkwash" foil treatment. The prices for the most valuable Shimmering Skies won't stay consistent over time, but the overall picture of which ones hold value is likely to remain similar.

Disney Lorcana: Shimmering Skies Starter Decks Review
Disney Lorcana: Shimmering Skies' two new Starter Decks, Amethyst and Ruby, and Emerald and Steel, come with all the cards needed to begin playing.
10 Royal Tantrum
219/204, Sapphire
The Disney Lorcana: Shimmering Skies card Royal Tantrum shows Prince John from Robin Hood pitching a childish fit among his hoard of riches. Both variants are covered in gold, but the Enchanted version takes things in a very Scrooge McDuck direction, tossing Prince John on top of a literal heap of coins.
Sapphire decks in Disney Lorcana can be great for interesting item strategies, and Royal Tantrum is an action that leans into this. The card allows the player to banish any number of their items and draw a card for each, making it easy to get a deck refresh in exchange for cleaning up the board a bit. As of the Disney Lorcana: Shimmering Skies release day, TCGPlayer listings for the Enchanted version of Royal Tantrum start around $175.
9 Donald Duck - Pie Slinger
214/204, Ruby
2024 is the 90th anniversary of Disney icon Donald Duck, and the valuable Disney Lorcana: Shimmering Skies card Donald Duck - Pie Slinger celebrates him in exactly the fashion it should. Donald's in his element when engaging in general cartoon antics, and a pie fight is the perfect way for him to unleash his rage without causing serious harm. The Enchanted variant of the card has him holding a pie above his head with one hand and brandishing an eggbeater with the other.
Donald Duck - Pie Slinger's Shift ability is fairly minor by the standard metric, reducing his cost from five ink to four, but the Humble Pie ability docks two lore from each opponent when he's deployed with Shift. Ragng Duck gives him a whopping +6 boost to strength when an opponent has 10 or more lore, making him a power player in the second half of a match. On TCGPlayer, listings for an Enchanted Donald Duck - Pie Slinger start at $220, with many hovering around $250.
8 Clarabelle - Light On Her Hooves
211/204, Emerald
Clarabelle is one of the most classic characters in Mickey's circle of friends, but she doesn't often get as much love in the modern day. The Legendary card Clarabelle - Light on Her Hooves gives her the spotlight she deserves, and the Enchanted card enhances that with a glowing depiction of her dancing in the center of a carnival tent.

There's Only One Way To Get This Exclusive Disney Lorcana Card
An Disney Lorcana card will only appear in an unexpected package, and it has enough advantages to be worth paying attention to.
Clarabelle's Keep In Step ability could be extremely useful in a deck struggling with card draw, allowing the player to draw cards up to the number held in an opponent's hand at the end of their turn. Beyond this, her stats aren't remarkable, but they complete the package sufficiently well, and the ability to get her on the table for 5 ink instead of 7 with a Shift ability could make her a great deal. Financially, things are rougher, with the Enchanted version drawing a market price of $250 on TCGPlayer.
7 Vanellope Von Schweetz - Sugar Rush Princess
206/204, Amber
As a big focus of Shimmering Skies, it's only fitting that Vanellope von Schweetz should have one of the most valuable cards in the Disney Lorcana set. Vanellope von Schweetz - Sugar Rush Princess isn't a Legendary card, but it can still be highly useful in the right deck. The I Hereby Decree ability makes Princess cards particularly useful, and a Shift ability makes it possible to deploy her very early in the game.
Both versions of the Vanellope von Schweetz - Sugar Rush Princess depict Vanellope g what appears to be a royal edict, with the Enchanted version adding an elaborate glowing signature to the scroll. TCGPlayer listings start at $250 for the Enchanted version of the card, with many sitting around the $300 mark.
6 Revive
207/204, Amber
Unlike most of the high-value Disney Lorcana: Shimmering Skies releases, Revive is an action card rather than a character card. The artwork still puts a focus on Mother Gothel, showing her wrapped in strands of golden magic. The standard version of the card depicts her from a high angle with the floor of Rapunzel's tower chamber beneath her, while the Enchanted variant goes for a lower angle and more stylized background.
The utility of Revive is straightforward, allowing the to play a character card that costs five ink or less from their discard for free. This could be a powerful tool in the right circumstances, and the TCGPlayer listings reflect this, with Enchanted variants starting at $269.
5 Mufasa - Ruler of Pride Rock
217/204, Sapphire
The Lion King just celebrated its 30th birthday, and after all that time, Mufasa remains a common pick for Disney's best dad. The Disney Lorcana: Shimmeries Skies card Mufasa - Ruler of Pride Rock celebrates his iconic status with a regal image of the lion awash in a sapphire-tinted magical effect. Although the standard version sticks to a fairly realistic color scheme and depiction, the Enchanted art leans into more vibrant colors and expressive brush strokes.

Disney Lorcana Gateway Review: A Great Introduction To Trading Card Games
Disney Lorcana Gateway is an effective way to learn how to play the trading card game, and is especially great for TCG newcomers and kids.
With a cost of eight, a requirement to exert all cards in the inkwell upon play, and un-inkable status, Mufasa - Ruler of Pride Rock doesn't come cheap. He immediately makes up for that by returning 2 cards from the inkwell to the player's hand, however, and can keep generating value as a great card for questing. TCGPlayer lists the Enchanted version of Mufasa - Ruler of Pride Rock at a market price of $271.
4 Robin Hood - Sharpshooter
215/204, Ruby
The festival theme of Disney Lorcana: Shimmering Skies is the perfect environment for Robin Hood to shine, as showing off archery tricks is what he does best. Robin Hood - Sharpshooter depicts him leaping up into the air to aim his bow, and the Enchanted version tilts his angle upward in a more triumphant pose.
As a Legendary card, this could be a useful addition to a control deck. Whenever Robin Hood - Sharpshooter quests, the player can look at the top 4 cards of their deck, reveal an action card with cost six or less, and play it for free. The rest have to be discarded, but it's a lot of aggression for a cost four card. Listings for an Enchanted currently start around $285 on TCGPlayer.
3 Snow White - Fair-Hearted
220/204, Steel
Disney Lorcana has a penchant for depicting princesses in armor, and Snow White - Fair-Hearted has a particularly great rendition of a battle-ready Snow White. On the standard release, she stands in a field with something of a scowl on her face. The Enchanted variant shows a more triumphant pose atop a rock, with a songbird perched on the uplifted finger of a smiling Snow White.
Snow White - Natural Leader gets better when a variety of Knights are in play, giving her Resist +1 for each compatriot on the battlefield. Otherwise, the card is generally effective for questing, generating three lore each time. She's one of the most valuable Disney Lorcana: Shimmering Skies cards on TCGPlayer, where listings for an Enchanted start at $315 and generally hover in the $330s.
2 Arthur - King Victorious
221/204, Steel
The Sword in the Stone might focus more on Arthur's time with Merlin than on his reign as king, but the Disney Lorcana: Shimmering Skies card Arthur - King Victorious gives him the royal treatment. Both versions of the card show him with Exalibur, a scroll, a crown, and a clock, but the Enchanted version gives him a more dynamic pose as he hefts the oversized sword aloft.

Disney Lorcana: Ursula's Return Illumineer's Quest - Deep Trouble Review
The first co-op set for Disney Lorcana arrives in the form of the challenging but fun Ursula's Return Illumineer's Quest, Deep Trouble.
Arthur - King Victorious has the power to buff other characters with the Knighted by the King ability, which gives them Challenger +2, Resist +2, and allows them to challenge ready characters during that turn. In of value, Arthur - King Victorious almost lives up to his name, but the impressive $320 starting point for the Enchanted card on TCGPlayer doesn't match the most valuable Shimmering Skies card's price.
1 Archimedes - Electrified Owl
208/204, Amethyst
Of all the characters for Arthur to get upstaged by, it had to be Merlin's pet owl, Archimedes. The Archimedes - Electrified Owl card depicts the owl with an electrified effect, which is significantly more striking on the Enchanted version of the card than on the regular release.
Archimedes - Electrified Owl is a fairly straightforward card that just happens to stack several great abilities. Shift allows the four cost card to be deployed for only three ink, Evasive makes him difficult to challenge, and Challenger +3 gives him a boost when he's on the attack. On release day, an Enchanted Archimedes - Electrified Owl starts at $380 on TCGPlayer, easily confirming his status as the most valuable Disney Lorcana: Shimmering Skies card.
