New Titles On Disney+
Disney+'s movie catalogue continues expanding with content that goes from classics to unknown gems, to short films and special episodes. This month will see the arrival of the 1977 live-action adventure movie A Tale of Two Critters, the 1967 version of Doctor Dolittle, the TV movie The Boy Who Talked to Badgers, David Lynch’s biographical road drama The Straight Story, and two episodes of the TV series Walt Disney’s Disneyland: “Man in Space”, which tells the history of rockets, and “Mars and Beyond”, which discusses the possibility of life on other planets.
The platform will also bring a bunch of animated shorts starring some of Disney’s most beloved characters, such as Donald Duck in All in a Nutshell, Don’s Fountain of Youth, Donald’s Dog Laundry, and Dragon Around, and Goofy in classics like Double Dribble and How To Play Football. Other Disney short films coming to Disney+ are Elmer Elephant, Lambert, The Sheepish Lion, On Ice, Out of Scale, Pluto's Party, Sea Scouts, The New Neighbor, Let’s Stick Together, Pluto’s Purchase, and The Small One, this last one based on the book of the same name by Charles Tazewell.
New Episodes Of Disney+ Original Series
Of course, Disney+ will continue adding new episodes of previously released series. Fans of The Clone Wars season 7, and for those not into the adventures that take place in a galaxy far, far away, there will be new stories to tell in Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings, Shop Class, Disney Family Sundays, One Day At Disney, and the competition will continue in Be Our Chef.
Disney Channel
When Disney announced that Disney+ would include content from Disney Channel, many were excited to get a chance to watch some of its original movies and series, especially those that came to an end years ago. Disney Channel fans will now get to enjoy all seasons of the animated series Fish Hooks, season 1 of the family comedy Just Roll with It, all seasons of Sonny With A Chance, and season 3 of Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure.
Onward
The Lightfoots then go on a quest to see if there’s magic left in the world that can help them spend a couple of hours with their father.
A Celebration of the Music From Coco - Special Premiere
Disney+ will welcome a very special event this month: A Celebration of the Music From Coco. This concert experience recorded at the Hollywood Bowl brings to life the performances from Pixar’s movie Coco, with the help of Benjamin Pratt (who voiced Ernesto de la Cruz), Jaime Camil (who voiced Miguel’s father), Eva Longoria, Alanna Ubach (Mamá Imelda’s voice), Carlos Rivera, Luis Gerardo Méndez, and more, including the presence of director Lee Unkrich.
National Treasure
The wait is over: National Treasure will finally be available on Disney+ at the end of the month, so now subscribers will get to enjoy both movies. National Treasure stars Nicolas Cage as Benjamin Franklin Gates, a historian and amateur cryptologist searching for a lost treasure hidden by American Freemasons during the American Revolutionary War – but for that, he will need to steal the Declaration of Independence, as a coded map to the location of the treasure is on the back of it. A true gem.
