Warning: contains spoilers for Doom Academy #1The infamous Doctor Doom is currently taking over the Marvel Universe after stealing the title of Sorcerer Supreme from Doctor Strange... but that hasn't Victor from continuing his pattern of being wildly petty towards his nemesis Reed Richards. The newest iteration of Strange Academy, Doom Academy, debuted a hilarious new "Anti-Reed" Society for students, showing how far Doom is willing to go to mock Mister Fantastic.

The megalomaniacal villain Doctor Doom first developed his life-long grudge against Reed Richards during their time as students at State University, where they became academic rivals until Victor's expulsion from the school.

Doom Academy Has A Truly Petty "Anti-Reed" Club

Latveria is known for being ruled by the fascist Doctor Doom, with the dictator Doom even employing the Editor, whose entire job is to edit media within and outside Latveria to be pro-Doom. In fact, the current student editor of the Doom Academy Dispatch is Scoop, the son of the Editor, whose goal is to provide truthful media coverage. Alongside other clubs like "Dungeons of Doom" and the school's Fitness Club, the Anti-Reed Society is dedicated to eradicating any form of "reed" from existence. Past society projects have included the removal of reeds from Latverian marshlands, and destroying any instruments in the academy that use a reed mouthpiece to play.

"ANTI-REED SOCIETY

It is not only the buffoon Richards--

in the Anti-Reed Society, we like to

combat the use of the word “reed”

wherever possible. Past projects include

“de-reeding of the marshlands”

and the removal of all clarinets,

saxophones, oboes, bassoons, english

horns, bagpipes, and shehnais from

the Doom Academy orchestra."

The Society s that their group does not focus on "only the buffoon Richards," implying that over the years Doctor Doom has successfully campaigned to have Latverian children taught to disrespect Mister Fantastic. Victor von Doom will never forgive Reed for his perceived slights against the villain and will take any chance to belittle the man he has so little respect for. There are countless projects that the Anti-Reed Society could work on, like boycotting Reed College or editing the Bible to remove any mention of reeds. It is required at Doom Academy that every student s at least one extracurricular club, meaning the Anti-Reed Society probably has a big following since it seems like a pretty easy club to excel in.

One Of Doom's Pettiest Moments Is His Relationship With Valeria

Doom loves Valeria, and also loves how much Reed hates their connection

Valeria Richards Doom #1

Doctor Doom has been petty towards Reed Richards for... well, forever. However, one of the prettiest things Doom ever did was to save Sue Storm's unborn child, Valeria, while Reed was away, just so that he could lord this over his rival for the rest of his life. Doom got the honor of giving Valeria her name, and while he has come to love her, he also is obsessed with the fact that his relationship with Valeria will always annoy Reed.

Victor is an incredibly brilliant scientist and skilled sorcerer, but perhaps his greatest superpower is his ability to weild his power in the most petty of ways, with Doctor Doom getting "revenge" on Reed Richards every chance he gets.
