the new event series, One Nation Under Doom. With the world at the Latvian villain's knees, it has left readers questioning where Doctor Strange is during all this chaos.

According to Marvel, a new series called Doctor Strange of Asgard by Derek Landy and Carlos Magno will unveil the whereabouts of the former Sorcerer Supreme as he heads for Asgard to face an impending identity crisis. He travels there to see if the Asgardians are "looking for a Sorcerer Supreme of its own." This could set up Strange's most daunting journey yet as he faces new surroundings, more mystical obstacles than he's ever fought before and unexpected new allies.

The first issue of this exciting new series is expected to debut next year in March, and based on the details revealed so far, it could be the most exciting Doctor Strange adventure yet.

Doctor Strange's New Asgardian Home Could Turn the Tide of Doom's Hold Over Earth

Doctor Doom Might Not Be Prepared for What's Coming

What's interesting about this new series is what it means for the future of the One Nation Under Doom storyline. After all, Strange seems to be leaving Earth out of shame for being tricked into giving up his title to Doom, losing the faith of his students and plummeting the Earth into a horrifying dictatorship under his fist. It only makes sense that he could be Doom's ultimate unraveling as he seeks out a new purpose in life now that he's no longer Earth's greatest mystical protector. There are infinite numbers of places that Strange could have turned to in his time of crisis, but the choice to send him to Asgard opens up a whole new realm of possibilities.

It will be fascinating to see Asgardian magic play a part in Strange's new lease on life as he adjusts to his new home on Asgard. While he's lost the title of Sorcerer Supreme, he re everything he learned while training to wield magic in his origin story. Thus, any new abilities he gains will overlap his prior skills to become even more powerful. Once he masters the craft, he could become even more powerful than Doctor Doom, allowing him to overtake the man that took his title and save the Earth.

Doctor Strange's Education Lies at the Hands of an Unexpected Ally

Loki Becomes a Teacher and Friend to the Earth's Greatest Sorcerer...or Does He?

Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in Loki season 2 and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness MCU slowdown

The most exciting reveal from Marvel's announcement about Doctor Strange's new series is that Loki will be playing a decent part in the story. It's mentioned that "Loki's willing to help" Strange master the art of Asgardian magic, giving him the chance he needs to build up his power. However, knowing Loki, there's a trick always hiding under his sleeve, and Marvel makes this no secret when it's mentioned "that help comes with a wicked catch." Clearly, Loki will have all the cards to hold dominion over Strange as he tries to better his magic, setting up a massive wrench in his journey.

With the Marvel Universe at its most unstable in years, this story featuring Doctor Strange will be one fans won't want to miss as they follow the One Nation Under Doom storyline. There's bound to be many mystical antics throughout, paving the way for an even more powerful Strange down the line. Doctor Strange of Asgard could be one of his most ambitious storylines yet, and with him taking on the chance to become a Norse God, it could see him become a greater sorcerer than he's ever been before.

Doctor Strange of Asgard #1 is expected to premiere on March 5, 2025 from Marvel Comics!
