Doctor Strange once encountered the powerful being known as the Beyonder on a mission with Marvel Comics’ version of the Scarlet Witch!
The original Beyonder was a being from an infinite realm that became self-aware and triggered the events of Venom. An omniscient being from beyond the reality of the Marvel Universe, the Beyonder observed its inhabitants the same way a scientist would notice microscopic organisms under a microscope. His motivation, in all future interactions, was to better understand the meaning and root of desire, thus his ability to recognize and grant the longings of others.
During the events of Secret Wars, Professor X, a founding member of the Illuminati, was able to use his mind-reading powers to learn that the Beyonder was not a galactic entity but a mutant Inhuman. In Brian Michael Bendis’ New Avengers: Illuminati Vol. 2 #3, the Beyonder is retconned as a mutant that had ed through the Terrigen Mist, a gaseous substance that transforms the DNA of whoever es through it and renders them an Inhuman. Inhumans are a race of altered human beings that were the result of experiments on ancient humans by the extraterrestrial race known as the Kree.
Once the Illuminati learn that most of the Beyonder’s earlier feats had only occurred in his mind, and is in fact a mutant Inhuman, they turn to Black Bolt, the mighty but silent king of the Inhumans. Black Bolt is unable to whether he knows of this, but that does not stop fellow monarch, Namor, from declaring that anyone under his rule must do his bidding. With that said, Professor X informs the team that he has tracked the Beyonder’s presence to Ceres, a planetoid located in our solar system’s asteroid belt. Along with Dr. Strange and Namor are questioning the Beyonder when Strange confronts him. The Beyonder happily informs him that he only wants to do good and wants what Strange wants. It is at that moment we catch a glimpse of Dr. Strange, in bed with Clea and the Scarlet Witch, through the skylight of the Sanctum Sanctorum.
Let me assure you, as much as some people might want to see it, this scene will not occur in poor Scarlet Witch.
