With a brand-new companion, many exciting guest stars, and even more creative adventures, Doctor Who’s new season is shaping up to be the show’s most exciting in a long while.

Perhaps more than any other show, Doctor Who is a project that’s always reimagining itself with new cast . There have been plenty of different lead actors since the show began in 1963, and while fans can argue forever about which version of the Doctor is the best, the truth is that every iteration of this show’s cast has something special about it; season 15 should be no different.

  • Active Since: 2014

Actor: Ncuti Gatwa was born in Nyarugenge, Rwanda, in October 1992 and moved to Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1994. He was cast as The Doctor in Doctor Who while filming for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, and has portrayed the character in the show’s fourteenth and fifteenth seasons.

The Fifteenth Doctor and Mel Bush on a scooter wearing helmets in the Doctor Who season 14 trailer

Bonnie Langford as Mel Bush - Mel Bush is one of the many companions of classic Doctor Who that’s been brought back in recent years, appearing alongside Jodie Whittaker’s incarnation of the Doctor shortly before her regeneration. She was originally a companion of Colin Baker’s Sixth Doctor, and now works alongside U.N.I.T. to assist Gatwa’s Doctor from time to time.

Anita Dobson as Mrs. Flood - The mystery of Mrs. Flood’s true identity is one of Doctor Who’s biggest questions as it enters its fifteenth season. The character appeared briefly as Ruby Sunday’s neighbor in season 14, before breaking the fourth wall and speaking directly to the audience about the Doctor’s past. Anita Dobson will reprise her role in the episodes, as the truth about her identity is hopefully revealed.
