With Jules finally coming to with being single and her old friendships blossoming once again, the second season of Dollface shifted focus to other aspects of life for her and her three best friends, including career paths, life goals, and their pending milestone 30th birthdays. And that involved a host of new characters.
Each of the four girls had interesting trajectories and exciting new adventures in season 2, which resulted in them crossing paths with new people and old ones from their pasts. From new business partners to love interests, co-workers, and clients, the new characters ran the gamut.
Ruby
Fans knew there was something off with Ruby right from the get-go. The wealthy daughter of a billionaire music mogul and an old classmate of the gals, she ran into them at a party and quickly befriended Madison. While Jules – played by Kat Dennings in one of her best roles, according to IMDB - should not have been jealous of her best friend hanging out with someone else, she could sense that Ruby was trying to draw a wedge between them.
While that might not have been the intent, Ruby also clearly ran with the wrong crowds before meeting Madison and had a sense of entitlement. She could turn on a dime, as she did with Madison. While she did redeem herself by apologizing in the end, for most of season 2, Ruby came across as wildly generous but also suspicious of her motives.
Delaney
Delaney perfectly represents the person from high school who somehow managed to make it big and no one understands how. Running a successful business, even making a list of the top entrepreneurs under 30, seeing and listening to her talk about how well her life was going was painful for Jules.
What added insult to injury was that she created simple stickers and decals with inspirational sayings, something that seemingly requires little effort and talent. Delaney didn't seem boastful when talking to Jules, but her sunny disposition during a time when Jules was still trying to figure out her life made the young woman cringe.
Bruno
Bruno is the first young child character on Dollface, and he adds much-needed maturity for the women, who see how well Liv does as a single mother. they welcomed Bruno with open arms, including Stella, who quickly warmed to the young boy as his presence encouraged her to act more mature when he was around.
He's sweet, kind, funny, and loving. He doesn't have many speaking lines but he's in one of the funniest scenes when he is challenged to a popsicle eating contest by Izzy, only to end up throwing up in a pool after eating too many, too quickly.
Sky
A co-worker of Jules and Izzy, Sky and Q are seemingly attached at the hip, spending all their time together, both in the office and out. Her first appearance when Izzy reassures them they don't have to be intimated as the new of the team is hilarious as both she and Q insist that they feel no such nervousness.
It's Sky who discovers the true intent of the Alisons with Izzy – the most likable main character on Dollface. She also provides needed comic relief thanks to her witty one-liners in the office.
Lotus Dragon Bebe
Adding a dose of reality to the show, Madison finds herself out of a job and looking to start up her PR firm. One of her first clients is an erotic content creator who goes by the name of Lotus Dragon Bebe.
While initially, Lotus is reluctant to hire Madison, finding her to be too rigid and straightlaced, the desire to get the job leads Madison to become more open-minded, even taking an erotic dancing class. Lotus Dragon Bebe only has a small role in the season, but it's a pivotal one in helping Madison re-think her strategy and make more daring choices.
Liv
An interesting new romantic interest for Stella and the first female partner she has on the show, Liv is a small bar owner Stella comes across when popping in for a drink to blow off some work steam.
Liv, a single mother, proves a perfect match for Stella, helping her learn to settle down and even care for Liv's young son Bruno. Direct, confident, and smart, Liv was an interesting new character addition that fans hope to see more of if the show is renewed for a third season.
Fender
Every show like Dollface needs a handsome rock star, actor, model, chef – a character with something going for him that makes him stereotypically sought after. In the case of this season, it was Fender, whose actual name was Luke.
Picking up a guitar from Woom, he and Jules fell for one another immediately once they locked eyes. Despite being a traveling musician in a band, he seemed genuinely interested and invested in her, even making time to play at Stella's new bar for opening night to help them out. Should the show be renewed for a third season, Fender has the potential to be a major new character and love interest for Jules.
Q
Q was exactly the type of employee Woom needed, direct and to the point, judgemental and blunt without being nasty, and therefore his friends when they needed him.
He had some of the best quotes on the show, like when Alison revealed she goes by Alison even though it isn't her real name because her actual name is Karen. That name has gotten a negative connotation these days, as evidenced by the biggest Karens in movies and TV. "That's a fair pivot, no further questions," he replied at the reveal. In another scene, he comments that turmeric is his sixth favorite spice behind Posh, Scary, Baby, Sporty, and Ginger. He was a refreshing addition to the show.
Liam
It wasn't just Liam but also his storyline that made fans fall in love. After meeting on Zoom during the pandemic, he and Izzy hit it off and began dating. However, she constantly felt insecure, believing that he was too good-looking to be with an "average" girl like her. These insecurities were further fueled when they went out in public together and others would make flippant comments about their relationship.
Through it all, however, Liam didn't even feel the need to reassure Izzy that she was good enough: in one of the Dollface, Izzy finally tells him she "knows she is a lot but finally realizes she is enough." What fans loved about Liam was that he sincerely never understood why Izzy ever felt she wasn't good enough. He was the type of guy any single young woman would be lucky to have.
