Developer id Software plans to showcase the first teaser trailer for The Ancient Gods - Part Two's launch details remain under lock and key. The "Year One " wording for the DLC pack indicates it could release before the end of this month, however, since the shooter originally hit store shelves in March 2020.

DOOM Eternal's The Ancient Gods - Part One released last fall, introducing brand-new story content, new enemies, and three previously unseen levels. By and large, the DLC's first part was well received by critics and players alike. It upped the ante in of combat difficulty and debuted additional mechanics. There were a fair few shortcomings, though, specifically with regards to the enemy selection and the general lack of character progression. Still, hopes are high that id Software has been able to improve upon what The Ancient Gods - Part One did get right last year.

Recently, id shared on post on DOOM's official Twitter that confirms DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods - Part Two's first teaser trailer will go live on Monday, March 15. A new piece of art accompanies the news, too, boasting a fresh look at the formidable opponents the Doom Slayer will find himself up against in the expansion. The post lacks a release date for the DLC, but such information may emerge during the teaser trailer next week.

That the teaser is so imminent seems to indicate the DLC will launch sometime in the near future. The first trailer for The Ancient Gods - Part One hit the web in late August, for example, approximately two months ahead of the content's October release.

Of course, fans also await news about Xbox Series X|S would arrive sometime this year. At the time of writing, the developer has yet to offer any further details on the matter. But more information is bound to surface once The Ancient Gods - Part Two content goes live.
