Dragon Ball: The Breakers puts players in the skin of Bulma, the blue-haired super genius inventor who has been a main character in the Dragon Ball Franchise since it started. The Online Asymmetrical Action game is a breath of fresh air because of its focus on some unsung heroes in DB. Bulma is usually a NPC's in DB games like Xenoverse 2 ,that added DB Super Hero Movie characters. Bulma always seems to be in the thick of the battle contributing in any way she can with Capsules and a reason to fight for her husband Vegeta and the other Saiyans.

In the prologue, Bulma and Oolong, the shape-shifting pig, stumble in and the player's created character. The Bulma players will use in this game is at the very beginning of her character arc in Dragon Ball. In DB: Breakers, Bulma is a skin that will turn the player's character into her and allow access to two of her unique abilities. To play as Bulma, go to the Battle Settings Menu and select her skin; that the skin won't activate when the player is at the base or during Dragon Change. Dragon Change is a DB: The Breakers feature where players use Transpheres to take over the powers of powerful Z-Fighters.

Bulma has two unique skills to start; her first move is the Capsule(Single-Wheel Motorbike). To set it, click on skills, choose one of the directional buttons, and select it. The Motorbike can go faster by holding the boost button; after dismounting, it will turn back into a capsule. The Motorbike boost allows the player to go faster than the other vehicles in the game and can provide a getaway in a tight spot. The Charming Pose has Bulma shake what her momma gave her in front of the enemy. The Raider in DB: The Breakers is the enemy trying to win against the team of Survivors. This move temporarily distracts the Raider, which can help teammates escape or secure a point of interest.

Get Out to a Fast Start

When Bulma drops into the map, the player should be looking to get her away from her teammates and collecting Dragon Balls. Bulma has always enjoyed hunting for Dragon Balls, so going solo and using her skill set to secure a wish is a solid play. When Shenron grants a wish, the player can either permanently turn Bulma into a Fighter, almost guaranteeing they can take the Raider out, or make the team stronger. Immediately activate the Motorbike and head for an area where teammates aren't looting that has a lot of items. The Motorbike is a lowkey way to get around fast without being detected by the enemy. Not having a constant indicator of where Survivors are is one of the cons of playing as the Raider in DB: The Breakers. Survivors can move around the map under the Raider's nose as long as the enemy doesn't see them.

when Bulma jumps off the Motorbike, the ability has to cool down before she can use it again. After the initial run with the Motorbike, use it sparingly, and try to use the other vehicles that don't require a recharge after each use. Using the Motorbike in that initial run to get to another vehicle is a solid plan, as it will allow the player to pop in and out of high loot areas. They are slower, but the player doesn't want to get caught by a DB: The Breakers character from the anime without the ability to use the boosted Motorbike to get away.

Using Bulma's Abilities to Help the Team

The Grappling Device and Floating Device send Bulma high up, allowing the Raider to spot her easier. But using other players Floating Device to combo off while riding the Motorbike can shoot Bulma to high-up areas without having to cool down the ability. The Motorbike to Floating Device Combo is also practical when trying to get a final Dragon Ball to a teammate or insert a Super Time Machine Power Key. Any player can put a Power Key in its place when it is found, so zip over with Bulma and get the team closer to surviving by quickly clearing that objective. If Cell is blowing up part of the map, the player can finish off a revive and clear out before getting killed using the Motorbike.

Charmingly Pose a Problem for Raiders

Bulma As She Appears in Dragon Ball The Breakers

Ever the charmer, Bulma uses her beauty to distract the beasts trying to hunt her. If a teammate is in a battle with a Raider, using the Charming Pose can give them the chance they need to get the upper hand. Stunning the enemy can also combo right into a Dragon Change to land a big shot or fly away before the Raider can finish Bulma off. Charming Pose can also be a defensive mechanism, not just a distraction.

There are many changes from Xenoverse to DB: The Breakers, but the focus on time is not one of them. Every second counts in DB: Breakers, so throwing off Raiders, even for a few seconds, can be the difference between survival and annihilation. If a teammate requires a revive, and the Raider hovers over the body, Bulma can pull up on the Motorbike and distract the Raider while another player makes the save. It may turn into a sacrifice play, but the other two players can hopefully get away to fight another day and possibly come back to save Bulma later.

Power up Bulma's Skills

Bulma's skills can be powered up using Spirit Points acquired after each match. DB: Breakers differs from Dragon Ball Kakarot in many ways, but they both use a level up system to upgrade characters. Upgrade the Motorbike and Charming Pose to reduce the cooldown time. A Motorbike at +5 will have a 58.75-second cooldown instead of a full minute. The more games played, the more Spirit points earned, so don't back out when the character dies, as the player can still achieve the rewards. Once Active Skills level up to +10, all Survivors can use them no matter what skin the player uses.

Once players have upgraded Bulma to the point her abilities are available to everyone, they should try out Oolong, the other Character Skin. Players can also try out the dark side by playing as one of the anime's best Villains in DB: The Breakers. Bulma is arguably the most brilliant hero in the DB Franchise, and playing smart with her will help the player secure victory despite the Raider's best efforts in DB: The Breakers.
