Dragon Ball Daima's Most Unlikely Character Holds the Series' Next Threat
Hybis Is on the Path to Becoming Much More Than a Simple Side Character
In the latest episode, Hybis mentions the living eye he wears around his belt that he found in the mountains a long time ago. At first, it may not seem like an important detail and Bulma reacts with disgust and shock that the eye is sentient. To Hybis, it’s nothing more than a “cool and interesting” artifact with no deeper significance. As one of the more unassuming characters, Hybis tends to fade into the background or isn’t taken seriously. However, the eye on his belt suggests that Hybis is going to be playing a much more important role going forward.
While it’s clear that Hybis seems to think the living eye on his belt is nothing more than an interesting trinket, it may actually be the artifact King Gomah covets. King Gomah Could Become Much More Powerful in the Future
King Gomah's Looks Are Deceiving
In the first episode, King Gomah’s intention was to wish for Goku and his friends to become young, and his second wish was going to be for the Evil Third Eye. However, as fans know, he was unable to get his second wish due to Dende becoming a baby. In episode nine, he is shown lamenting over the fact that he did not wish for the Third Eye first. King Gomah wants nothing more than to be an unchecked ruler over the Demon Realm and the lengths he is willing to go to make him dangerous.
The power the Third Eye grants its s could act as a catalyst for King Gomah’s power. While fans have yet to see the extent of his abilities, it’s been shown that both Dr. Arinsu and Degesu are reluctant to face him directly. Dr. Arinsu plots behind his back, and Degesu is shown cowering when Gomah rages about the fact that Goku has already attained one of the Dragon Balls in the Demon Realm. Dragon Ball Daima has already proved that appearances can be deceiving, and King Gomah could potentially become the series’ greatest threat if he gets his hands on the Third Eye around Hybis’ waist.
