One of the Advanced Vocations you can unlock in Dragon's Dogma 2 is the Magick Archer, a class that uses powerful spells to create unique ranged attacks to destroy your enemies. Characters with this profession wield a stringless bow that fires magical arrows at different targets. These arrows can hone in on a monster's weak points, heal allies, and even make large Area of Effect (AoE) attacks against enemy groups.

The Magick Archer is a Vocation class only available to Arisen characters, so none of the Pawns you recruit can have the skills from this archetype. Other archetypes with this limitation include the Warrior, Sorcerer, Trickster, Warfarer, and Mystic Spearhand in Dragon's Dogma 2. This restriction makes the abilities of these classes even more interesting to explore if you switch Vocations during your adventure.

You have to spend Discipline Points to switch classes at any Vocation Guild scattered around Dragon's Dogma 2's enormous map. These points can be earned simply by defeating monsters and completing quests you take on throughout your journey.

How To Get The Magick Archer Vocation In Dragon's Dogma 2

Dragon's Dogma 2 Magick Archer Vocation class using ability to fire magical arrows at target

You can get the Magick Archer Vocation by completing the "Put a Spring in Thy Step" quest once you reach the Agamen Volcanic Island region later in Dragon's Dogma 2. This mission comes from an NPC named Gautstafr, who leads you to the Vocation Maister Cliodhna at the Volcanic Island Camp. The location where you meet these characters can be hard to reach if you don't know where you're supposed to go.

The Volcanic Island Camp can be reached when you travel to the southern edge of the Battahl region, through a dangerous place called Drabnir's Grotto. This Grotto is a cave system full of enemies and is recommended for characters who are around at least Level 25. No immediate fast travel in Dragon's Dogma 2 can make this area difficult to travel to, so try to buy an Oxcart trip down to a place near the Grotto's entrance.

Meeting with Gautstafr who initiates the quest leads you into a mission where you have to collect three types of flowers, then follow him and his wife to a nearby hot spring. Picking the flowers isn't too difficult, but the trek to the hot springs at the Volcanic Island Camp has many perils. Once you're at the Camp, simply talk to Gautstafr's wife Cliodhna to eventually unlock the Magick Archer Vocation class in Dragon's Dogma 2.
