The Warfarer is an Advanced Vocation you can unlock in Dragon's Dogma 2 that lets you equip any of the weapons or abilities of other classes. Even though this archetype has lower base stats than other Vocations, using every class' skills makes the Warfarer perhaps the most versatile profession in the game. You'll have to complete a quest for the right NPC to make Warfarer available for your characters.

Similar to the Trickster class in Dragon's Dogma 2, only Arisen characters may use the Warfarer Vocation. This means that none of the Pawns you recruit can become a Warfarer and use a combination of abilities from every archetype. Those who want to experiment with different loadouts for their character should keep in mind how their Swiss army knife skills synergize with other specialized allies.

How To Get The Warfarer Vocation In Dragon's Dogma 2

Dragon's Dogma 2 offering NPC Lamond Newt Liqueur to unlock Warfarer class Vocation

You can get the Warfarer class Vocation in Dragon's Dogma 2 by completing "The Sotted Sage" quest for the NPC Lamond at the Volcanic Island Camp. This character is a Vocation Maister or an expert on the class you're trying to unlock. You can find this individual at the Geyser Hamlet hot springs of the Island Camp, which is located in the southwest corner of the Battahl region within the game's massive explorable map.

The South Gate of Battahl will not let you enter the southwest areas of the map until you have finished parts of the main story. Be careful traveling through Drabnir's Grotto, a cave full of enemies, on this path as you travel toward the Volcanic Island Camp.

The quest given by Lamond asks you to collect three bottles of Newt Liqueur from around the world and bring them back to him. This item can be found in the wild, but it is exceptionally rare compared to more common materials looted from hostile monsters. The easiest way to find New Liqueur in Dragon's Dogma 2 is to buy it from Higg's Tavern Stand, a humble establishment located in Bakbattahl.

There are multiple ways to enter Higg's Tavern Stand, including putting on a Beastren Mask or helping the workers of the stand move in sacks of hay from outside. Use whatever method you want by engaging with Dragon's Dogma 2's gameplay mechanics to gain entry. Newt Liqueur costs 5,000 Gold each, so make sure you have accumulated enough money to buy all three bottles you need to hand over to Lamond.

Heading back to the hot springs will allow you to hand over each bottle of Newt Liqueur individually to Lamond. Exhaust all of this character's dialogue options to eventually unlock the Warfarer class Vocation in Dragon's Dogma 2 and earn a skill scroll tied to your new archetype option.
