Dragon's Dogma 2 offers ten unique player character classes, catering to an array of diverse playstyles. Initially, only four starter Vocations are available; the rest, including the melee-focused Warrior class, can be unlocked by completing various quests or visiting a Vocation Maister. Unlocking the Warrior class involves completing an engaging quest that is challenging yet still manageable in the early stages of the game.

The Warrior Vocation wields two-handed greatswords and hammers to deliver slow yet forceful attacks that can stagger both small and large foes. Warriors use heavy armor and lack shields, focusing on offense with enhanced damage resistance and flinch immunity during attacks. Their ability to taunt and manage multiple enemies, along with powerful charged strikes, positions Warriors as a strategic Vocation, also efficient as tanks in Dragon's Dogma 2.

How To Unlock The Warrior Vocation

Complete Klaus' Quest

To acquire the Warrior Vocation in Dragon's Dogma 2, visit the Vocation Guild located beneath Shakir's Inn in Vernworth, near the merchant square. As shown by a visual guide by Ninja Pups on YouTube, talk to Klaus at the counter to start the 'Vocation Frustration' quest. Completing its initial part, which involves acquiring a greatsword essential for the Warrior class, allows you to purchase the Warrior Vocation for 150 D (Discipline Points), a currency for learning new Skills, Augments, and Vocations.

Alternatively, you can purchase a greatsword directly from Celeste's Smithy in Checkpoint Rest Town, accessible via fast travel from West Vernworth Oxcart Station. However, this isn't recommended due to their high cost, between 17,000 and 24,800 Gold.

Complete The 'Vocation Frustration' Quest

Initially, Klaus will inform you that Warrior registrations are on hold due to a shortage of greatswords, which is preventing them from outfitting new recruits. He recommends visiting Roderick, the local armorer, for details on the missing shipment of equipment, thereby starting this Dragon's Dogma 2 quest.

Roderick's Smithy, marked by a red and black banner featuring images of weaponry, is situated in Vernworth Merchant Square. Roderick reveals to players that goblins, targeting oxcarts, are hoarding the loot in their dens. Specifically, the greatsword needed for the Warrior Vocation is hidden within Trevor Mine, tasking you with a retrieval mission into the goblin-infested depths.

Trevor Mine in Dragon's Dogma 2 is also the site of the first Monster Culling quest issued by Captain Brant. Before venturing into the mine, visit Brant at the Stardrop Inn to accept this quest. This enables you to tackle both tasks simultaneously, maximizing your XP and rewards.

Leaving Vernworth, head out the west side of town and follow the path to Trevor Mine, with an optional stop at a campsite for rest until morning. Approaching the mine entrance triggers attacks from goblins and wolves, so a well-rested party is recommended. Inside the cave, brace for combat against numerous goblins, and to light your lantern for improved visibility in the dark.

Before searching for the weapons, it's advised to eliminate all enemies within the mine to prevent surprise attacks and the potential need to restart. Additionally, take the opportunity to explore for more chests containing valuable items and loot.

Where To Find The Two-Hander Greatsword

Navigate the mine's straightforward path after clearing nearby enemies until you encounter two large barricaded boulders on the left. Squeeze through the narrow path between the boulders and proceed until the path splits, offering a choice to go right or climb up on the left. Opting for the left leads to a brief detour where you can eliminate a sleeping goblin and secure the Ring of Cooling, which reduces fire damage intake, from an ornate chest at the dead end.

Retrace your steps to return and follow the right path to an open area featuring a wooden bridge. Cross the bridge to discover a chest with the Ranger's Tights. Close to this chest, another age leads to a group of goblins. After clearing the room, open the chest to find a greatsword named Two-Hander.

While exploring Trevor Mine, keep an eye out to locate the Archistaff, which enables you to unlock the Sorcerer class at the Vocation Guild in Vernworth.

After securing the greatsword, exit the cave and head back to Vernworth to present it to Klaus, thereby unlocking the Warrior Vocation. Completing this quest will help you get gold fast in Dragon's Dogma 2, rewarding you with 7500 Gold and 1200 XP. This provides a solid early-game boost and access to an advanced Vocation that can be utilized in future combat.

Visit a Vocation Guild in any major town to customize your new Vocation with weapon skills, core skills, and enhancements. This allows you to select specific enhancements for yourself or your Dragon's Dogma 2 Pawns.
