Other projects mentioned in the leak include the long-rumored Resident Evil 4 remake, the recently announced Street Fighter 6, and a sixth mainline Monster Hunter game. Naturally, those who enjoy Capcom-published experiences hope that more of the supposedly uncovered details prove accurate.

Site visitors can also flip through a "History" section, denoted by a timeline of Dragon's Dogma-related events, beginning with its May 2012 release and ending with the premiere of the Netflix series in September 2020. The mere existence the new webpage has ignited hope amongst players still longing for a proper follow-up entry. At the time of writing, though, Capcom has yet to share anything concrete that hints at a sequel.

Interestingly, talk about the future of Dragon's Dogma is happening amid wider discourse regarding dormant Capcom-owned IP. VGC recently relayed that during an investor relations Q&A, Capcom expressed an interest in revisiting older properties. Reportedly, executives also said they will take customers' wishes into consideration while making decisions about its lineup of titles. Fans were quick to make known their dreams of seeing franchises such as Dino Crisis return.

In recent years, Capcom has breathed new life into Resident Evil and Monster Hunter, with the former especially needing a makeover after the release of Resident Evil 6. And given the success of RE2 and RE3 remakes, the expectation is that other beloved adventures from the past will eventually receive similar treatment. Whether or not Dragon's Dogma counts as a priority in this respect remains to be seen.
