Dancing With The Stars champion Kaitlyn Bristowe its she felt "triggered" watching her former partner Artem Chigvintsev's heated rehearsal moment with Melora Hardin. The duo performed a Paso Doble to Janet Jackson's "If" and finally earned a perfect score. Though their 40 out of 40 points and fan votes allowed the pair to continue to the semifinals, footage from their rehearsal showcased some trouble in paradise. In a package that aired before their performance, Melora was seen yelling at Artem at the beginning of an Oscar-worthy fight.
As for Kaitlyn, the former star of Kaitlyn previously noted that her appearance on the show allowed her to live out her childhood dreams by dancing on a large and beloved platform. One year after taking home the coveted Mirrorball Trophy, Kaitlyn returned to the ballroom to announce she'll be ing the official Dancing With The Stars tour, which kicks off Friday, January 7, 2022. The former Bachelorette's appearance also included a performance alongside fan-favorite pros. The entertaining number was a fresh breath of air for Kaitlyn as it was actually her first time performing in front of a live audience in the ballroom since her season was under tight COVID-19 safety protocols.
In a new interview after her surprise Artem's intense rehearsal moments with Melora brought back a lot of memories. "I was sitting in the back just grabbing onto my chair like, 'Oh god,'" Kaitlyn said of watching that moment play out. "I felt triggered." The ABC star added that the fights that happen between dancing pairs are natural because everyone really forms real relationships with their partner on the show. Kaitlyn clearly saw that Melora was drained, and Artem was doing everything he could to keep her spirits up as the professional, but sometimes you have to have those fights to come back together. "Look at their dance," Kaitlyn pointed out. "After that happened, they crushed that. It was like she was taking out all of her aggression in that Paso, so it worked well for them."
As for returning to the ballroom floor Monday night, Kaitlyn was just excited to finally perform in front of a live audience. "That was exciting because obviously during our season last year, we didn't have an audience because of COVID, so there's a whole other ball game when there's a crowd," Kaitlyn noted. The reality star-turned-host added that the audience's energy lit a fire underneath her to perform to the best of her ability. "I think that's why I'm so excited to go on tour as well because you get to meet those Dancing With The Stars fans and see them in the crowd and feed off their energy," she said. But the part of dancing Kaitlyn missed the most is quite surprising. Apparently, Kaitlyn missed and "craved" the blisters on her feet.
Kaitlyn is one busy lady hosting The Bachelorette, planning her wedding and embarking on the Dancing With The Stars tour. Nonetheless, she knows how to work it and build her celebrity to the highest degree. Plus, fans of the show are genuinely really excited to have the chance to see one of their favorite performers live for the first time.
