There are various Easter Eggs to find in Dying Light 2 including a Baba Yaga challenge that allows Aiden to fly around on a broomstick. Before completing the parkour challenge, players will need to progress in the main story to reach the Central Loop's Garrison District. Getting to the start of the Baba Yaga challenge is also much easier after completing the "Broadcast" main story mission. This quest gives players access to the elevator in the VNC Tower to reach the roof quickly.
With the "Broadcast" main mission completed, players can easily get to the top of the VNC Tower, which is the same spot players need to reach to find the secret developer room in Dying Light 2. The roof of the VNC Tower will also lead to the Baba Yaga Easter Egg. From the top of the building, players should go to the eastern edge and locate the rooftop with a large crane on top of it. Aiden will need to use the grapple or paraglider to reach the building with the crane. Players can make their way over to the building to start the parkour challenge.
After using the grapple or paragliding in Dying Light 2 to the building, players can look below the arm of the crane and spot a blue mushroom growing on the square metal platform. When Aiden interacts with the mushroom, it will grow. Players need to interact with the mushrooms multiple times until the prompt to start the Baba Yaga challenge appears. The interaction will take longer each time the mushrooms multiply, so players will need to spend some time holding down the button. After accepting the parkour challenge, Aiden will be on the flying broomstick.
Flying on a Broomstick in Dying Light 2
The challenge involves flying through checkpoints as quickly as possible to get the best time. It can be difficult to control the broomstick at first, and the challenge will need to be completed at night. If the mushrooms are interacted with during the day, it will automatically switch to nighttime in Dying Light 2. There are three time-based goals for players to reach in the Baba Yaga challenge. Bronze is awarded for completing the challenge in 2:30, the silver goal is 1:30, and gold is awarded for 1:10.
If the Baba Yaga challenge is failed, Aiden will automatically be returned to the start. There are a few sharps turns and drops that players should be aware of as they fly through buildings and in between large floating rocks. If the speed upgrade for the paraglider has been unlocked it can also be used while flying on the broomstick. There's no maximum number of attempts for trying this challenge.
The Baba Yaga parkour challenge has a total of 19 checkpoints to fly through. While this Dying Light 2 side activity is active, players can also go off course and fly around the city, but it will eventually bring Aiden back to the beginning. Upon reaching the goal, Aiden will be warped back to the mushroom cluster where players can choose to try the challenge again. There's also an easy glitch that players can utilize to keep the broomstick and freely fly around the map in Dying Light 2. After starting the challenge, players can pause and exit the game, then reload and Aiden will be outside of the challenge. The broomstick will appear in the player's inventory and can be used at any time to fly around the city in Dying Light 2.
Dying Light 2 is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
