The official third installment of the Shadow Warrior reboot series in 2020 with a brutal new look at the title's new fast-paced action-packed world. The title will feature the return of Lo Wang with gameplay features similar to DOOM Eternal, which will overpower players with a brand-new arsenal, including first-person enemy executions and a better movement system for better fluidity and action during battles.

In a jarring recent tweet, Techland revealed that the sequel to their  post-apocalyptic sandbox Dying Light 2 would take completionists roughly 500 hours to complete 100% or 70 to 80 hours if rushed. While the numbers were clearly believed to be a selling point by the developers, it amassed confusion, with the news causing debates over on social media about the length of AAA titles and the concern of how much filler content should be included. Techland quickly followed up with a clarification, stating that a focused playthrough of Dying Light 2's main campaign could be finished in about 20 hours, with its side quests and engagement with all of its characters being around 80 hours or more.

Posted today, the official Shadow Warrior Twitter shared a post poking fun at Techland's claim about Dying Light 2 taking around 500 hours to fully complete. The hilarious tweet features the following caption "Shadow Warrior 3 will take 500 hours to complete 60 times." and is accompanied by a brand-new clip of the third installment set to release sometime this year. Though joking about the claim, this is a vague hint that the title's length could be roughly around 8-10 hours, depending on playstyle and how focused a playthrough is.

Previously scheduled for a 2021 release, Shadow Warrior 3 was met with a delay and rescheduled to be officially launched at an unknown date in 2022. The delay announcement came with a brand-new cinematic trailer that showed the game's brutal combat. The developers revealed that they needed more time to polish the title and hit the quality level that fans are expecting from the third installment of the series.

While Shadow Warrior's developers poking fun at Techland can seem to appear as mockery, the series is known for its over-the-top jokes and tongue-in-cheek humor, so fans are keen to not take it seriously. Both Shadow Warrior 3 and Dying Light 2 are set to officially release this year, so fans can look forward to another year of action-packed FPS titles.
