The Bolt of Gransax is a Legendary Melee Armament in Leyndell, Royal Capital in Elden Ring. The Bolt of Gransax is can be found after players defeat Godfrey, First Elden Lord in his Golden Shade Spirit Form and within Leyndell, Royal Capital.
Players should note that they will not be able to obtain the Bolt of Gransax if they have defeated Maliketh, the Black Blade in the Crumbling Farum Azula. Players will need to collect the Bolt of Gransax before defeating Maliketh, the Black Blade, and before Leyndell, Royal Capital changes. Its exact location is on top of the giant spear that looks exactly like the Bolt of Gransax.
In order for players to get on top of the giant spear, they will have to fast travel to the main arena room of Godfrey, First Elden Lord (Golden Shade). The closest Site of Grace is called Erdtree Sanctuary in Elden Ring. After reaching the arena room, head West through a doorway. This doorway will lead the player to an elevator room that will take them down to a balcony that is right over the giant spear.
Location of the Giant Spear in Elden Ring
Elden Ring players should be careful when heading down to the balcony, there will be 2 Perfumer enemies and a Crucible Knight (Spear) waiting for them. The Crucible Knight will not respawn when the player kills him. But after the player reaches the balcony, they will have to parkour over to the giant spear, players will have to jump multiple times until they can get on top of the ledge. Afterward, they will have to hop down onto the rubble at the bottom, this will lead to a straight path heading up the spear and towards the pick up for the Bolt of Gransax.
To wield The Bolt of Gransax properly players will need a minimum Stat requirement of 20 Strength Stat and 40 Dexterity Stat in Elden Ring. The reason the Bolt of Gransax is a Legendary Armament is for its Ash of War, Ancient Lightning Spear. This Ash of War will have the player float in the air and charge the spear with red lightning, then throw the spear with tremendous force in a straight direction, causing extreme amounts of lightning damage. Ancient Lightning Spear has a very long range for an Ash of War, the general logic is that if the player can lock on to the enemy from a long range, the spear can reach it.
