An Elden Ring's character creator allows s to design their Tarnished however they see fit. Shortly after release, for example, one player built a hero who looks a lot like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Raphael, complete with a red bandana and claws in place of sais.
Of course, several other figures influenced by characters from popular culture have navigated the Lands Between. One person, in particular, brought The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Ciri to the latest FromSofware adventure. Another managed to produce a Tarnished who bears a striking resemblance to Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West protagonist Aloy. Even more inspired creations will crop up as fans continue to tinker with the settings in Elden Ring's character customization system. As such, it was only a matter of time before a Dragon Ball Z warrior ed the open-world fun.
Over the weekend, Reddit barrera2324 (via GameRant) ed screenshots of their Dragon Ball Z-inspired Master Roshi character in Elden Ring. The shirtless, bald and bearded Tarnished even comes equipped with an ability that makes it look as though he's about to go Super Saiyan. According to barrera2324, the Elden Ring ability in question is made possible by a weapon skill for the magic-based Sword of Night and Flame melee weapon. Check out the Master Roshi build in the post linked below:
Dragon Ball Z's Master Roshi has appeared in games previously, of course. In September 2020, the martial arts master ed the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster as a DLC character. It seems fair to say that he fits well within the world of Elden Ring, too, and makes for a pretty good Tarnished. Better still, the Turtle Hermit dons a turtle shield - a clever move on barrera2324's part that further sells Master Roshi's placement in the Lands Between.
After a rather lengthy wait, Elden Ring hit store shelves for PC, last-gen, and current-gen consoles late last month. It launched to widespread acclaim as well, earning several 10 out of 10 review scores that marked the title as a masterpiece and instant classic. Now players await word of Elden Ring's potential post-launch DLC plans, especially in the wake of modder Lance McDonald finding evidence of cut content in an out-of-bounds coliseum-like arena.
Elden Ring is out on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
