Starscourge Radahn has quickly become a fan-favorite and infamous boss fight in Elden Ring, but it's been discovered that his most powerful attack can be manipulated to result in his instant death. Cheesing bosses is not new to Elden Ring, with plenty of other FromSoftware games having exploitable bosses, but the shortcut to beating Radahn ends the fight in hilariously spectacular fashion. Players will still have to do roughly half of the fight legitimately, but Starscourge Radahn can be killed when he comes crashing back to the boss arena at the beginning of his second phase.
Famed General Radahn is a Shardbearer, holding one of the Elden Ring's Great Runes that players are tasked with collecting, but this doesn't necessarily make him one of the bosses required to finish Elden Ring's story. The fight against Radahn takes place in Wailing Dunes, a very large arena only accessible from a magical portal in Redmane Castle on Caelid's southeastern corner. Players may still have a difficult time with the boss fight even with the exploit, since Radahn has many powerful attacks in his first phase.
Cheesing Radahn will also require some tactical positioning, which is demonstrated by Reddit defeat Elden Ring's Starscourge Radahn before the second phase truly gets underway.
Elden Ring's Radahn Boss Fight Exploit Turns The Tables
Bosses in FromSoftware games, including Elden Ring, are typically their greatest challenges, and the fight against Radahn can be particularly tough. Even with the Radahn Festival going on, which lets the player summon multiple NPC helpers, Starscourge Radahn has a huge health bar and deals massive amounts of damage. Especially with a character at a relatively low level, even the arrows Radahn shoots at the beginning of the fight can be a one hit kill. Being able to trick him into plummeting into the ocean is a gratifying twist of fate.
For a while, this exploit wouldn't have really come in handy, since a nerf left the Radahn boss fight far less difficult than it was when the game first released. A subsequent Elden Ring patch made Starscourge Radahn stronger again, partially restoring his original stats and making the cheese strategy a bit more enticing for those having trouble defeating him. Especially for those trying to get through the game at a lower level, Radahn's meteorite attack can be devastating and difficult to dodge, but Elden Ring has inadvertently provided players a means to turn that against the General.
