In Elden Ring, players may want to remove the curse of Frenzied Flame if they want to change the ultimate outcome and ending of their game. If players accept the branding of the Three Fingers, they will lock themselves into the Frenzied Flame ending. To reverse this locked ending, players will need to find a unique item hidden within the Lands Between.
To acquire the Frenzied Flame ending in Elden Ring, players should begin at the Royal Capital and travel through the extensive network of sewers. Along this path, players will need to battle the boss Mohg, the Omen, and clear a challenging platforming section. Eventually, players will arrive at a door. Opening the door will cause the player to lose the armor they are wearing and become possessed by an evil hand that burns them. This sets players on track to become the Lord of Frenzied Flame and receive the branding of the Three Fingers.

Elden Ring: Where To Farm Four-Toed Fowl Foot
To craft many Silver and Gold-Pickled Fowl Feet in Elden Ring, Tarnished must efficiently farm the Four-Toed Fowl Foot from Guillemots.
How To Start & Complete Millicent’s Quest In Elden Ring
Before you can face off against Dragonlord Placidusax to cure the Frenzied Flame, you first need to find and complete Millicent’s quest chain. You can find Milicent in the Church of the Plague in Caelid, west of Limgrave.
Speak to Gowry, also in Caelid, and he will tell you of the Unalloyed Gold Needle that is currently held by
Commander O'Neil . This boss is found to the west of the Heart of Aeonia swamp. After defeating Commander O’Neil, he will drop the Commander’s Standard as well as the Unalloyed Needle.
Commander O’Neil is not a particularly difficult boss, but he does summon various additional enemies which aid him in the fight. Using Torrent to outpace this boss and deal quick damage is the easiest way to take him down.
Return to Millicent with the Unalloyed Needle at the Church of the Plague , then go to Gowry’s Shack to speak with her again. This crucial NPC can next be found at the Erdtree-Gazing Hill in the Atlus Plateau later in the game.
After acquiring both the Valkyrie’s Prosthesis and meeting her again at the Ancient Snow Valley Ruins Site of Lost Grace, she will eventually move to the Prayer Room Site of Lost Grace in the hidden Haligtree zone. You will need to defend her against two invaders, but after this you can finally pursue the quest to rid yourself of the Frenzied Flame.
How To Get Rid of Frenzied Flame In Elden Ring
Upon finishing Millicent’s quest and defeating Malenia, Blade of Miquella , players will need to use the Unalloyed Gold Needle, which can be acquired during the quest. Players should use the needle in Malenia's arena at the bloomed Scarlet Rot Flower.
In exchange for the Unalloyed Gold Needle in Elden Ring, players will receive Miquella’s Needle. Players will need to bring Miquella's Needle to the Crumbling Farum Azula , specifically at the Dragonlord Placidusax’s boss arena. To find this location, players should head to Beside the Great Bridge Site of Grace, which is just before the boss.
Of note, if players do bring Miquella’s Needle to the boss arena, they will forever remove the Frenzied Flame, and there is no way to trigger that ending again. Accordingly, players will not be able to unlock the achievement or trophy for becoming the Lord of Frenzied Flame.
From there, players can go down the elevator and follow the stairs to head outside. Once outside, players should walk to the side of the cliff and search for the secret floating platforms that they can jump down onto. Once on the platforms, players will find a piece of debris near a spot that allows them to lay down.
They are then teleported to an arena where they will find the Dragonlord Placidusax. To beat this boss, players may want to use Ashes of War in Elden Ring. Bringing Miquella’s Needle to this location will remove the Frenzied Flame and allow players to pursue other endings.
