In what might be one of the worst-kept secrets of 2025 so far, Bethesda has confirmed the existence of now-confirmed remaster saw a slew of leaks last week, with several screenshots and additional information being put out in the open, like the game being built in Unreal Engine 5 and a possible shadow drop occurring near the end of April.

Over on X, Bethesda made a post with a caption that reads "Tomorrow, 11 am EST," accompanied by an image of the iconic IV Roman numeral of the game. The game's reveal will take place on both Bethesda Softworks' YouTube and Twitch, with the YouTube caption currently saying: "All will be revealed...." As far as what the reveal will show, how long it will be, and if the purported shadow drop will actually occur — all of that remains a mystery for now.

Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion was one of the first games to include microtransactions, in the form of the infamous Horse Armor Pack DLC.

The big thing most fans are probably looking for tomorrow is the long-rumored shadow drop of the game. If that happens, fans may be able to purchase and play the remaster as early as tomorrow. While the game has been confirmed, a shadow drop has not been, though given how accurate the leaks of this game were, it seems likely that the shadow drop might happen. With Skyrim having been released more times than many fans may realize, it has been a long time since there has been new Elder Scrolls content, so it's an exciting time to be a fan, for sure, even if this is a remaster and not The Elder Scrolls 6. Oblivion was widely regarded as the game that spearheaded open-world fantasy RPGs when it was released as an early title for the Xbox 360 back in 2006. Skyrim was arguably a step back in some directions for fans, so to experience this game in modern graphics with some gameplay updates will be a treat for fans.

While the details of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered have not been confirmed yet, the official confirmation of the game's existence is sure to delight a lot of people. The big question that fans will be looking for an answer to tomorrow is: when is this game coming out? We'll hopefully find out tomorrow during Bethesda's livestream reveal.
