The Elsbeth season 2 finale airs Thursday, May 8 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS, and ScreenRant has an exclusive look at what's to come. "Ramen Holiday" will see guest stars Stephen Moyer, Retta, Gina Gershon, André De Shields, Elizabeth Lail, Arian Moayed, Mary Louise Parker, and Alyssa Milano reprise their roles in light of the protagonist's arrest. The official synopsis reads: "Elsbeth finds herself in prison with some of the same high-class criminals she put away. When one of them is stabbed to death, Elsbeth sets out to find the killer’s killer, while her colleagues back at the precinct fight to get her released."
In ScreenRant's sneak peek of season 2, episode 20, Teddy makes a surprising discovery about the Merton case. Dousant, the judge who put Elsbeth in jail, was originally assigned to the trial. However, he recused himself, allowing Crawford, Andy's murderer, to take over. With Kaya preparing for her undercover assignment, the team enlists the help of Ethan Slater's Officer Chandler to investigate Dousant's connection to Crawford and the Merton case.

The Series Is A Spinoff Of The Good Wife & The Good Fight
Created by Michelle and Robert King, Elsbeth is a spinoff of CBS' legal dramas, The Good Wife and The Good Fight. The series premiered on February 29, 2024, and follows Emmy Award winner Carrie Preston as Elsbeth Tascioni, the "astute but unconventional consent decree attorney working with the NYPD to catch New York’s most well-heeled murderers utilizing her unique point of view." Wendell Pierce and Carra Patterson are also included in the main cast.

How Kaya's Elsbeth Season 2 Promotion Twist Changes Season 3
Elsbeth hasn’t been the same since Kaya made detective, but it can be argued that her promotion changed the show both for better and for worse.
Preston's character made her debut in The Good Wife season 1, episode 20, and has remained a staple of the franchise. Christian Borle even reprises his role as Carter Schmidt in Elsbeth, reminding viewers that all three series are connected. Elsbeth's son Teddy, who was mentioned in the original series, makes his first appearance in season 2. As seen in ScreenRant's sneak peek of the finale, Ben Levi Ross' character continues to play a vital role, and his recent discovery may result in Elsbeth being released from prison.
