The nominations acknowledged several worthy and fan-favorite shows with multiple nominations across several categories, but now it is the matter of who will take the prestigious prizes of the night.

Critical darlings like Euphoria earned an impressive number of nominations as well.

The Emmys embraced the show's first season. Severance received fourteen Emmy nominations, including acknowledgments for leading actor Adam Scott and ing performers like Patricia Arquette, Christopher Walken, and John Turturro. The show also secured a coveted slot in the competitive Outstanding Drama Series category.

Dopesick - 14 Nominations

Hulu came in strong thanks to shows like Dopesick, which scored an impressive fourteen nominations across different categories. The limited series focuses on several stories with the US's struggle with opioid addiction serving as the backdrop.

Dopesick is full of intelligent characters played by amazing performers, many of whom received Emmy nominations. Michael Keaton, Kaitlyn Dever, Will Poulter, Peter Sarsgaard, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Mare Winningham all secured nominations for their work. Dopesick also received a nod for Outstanding Limited Series, plus one for writing and one for directing.

Bill Hader's dark comedy Barry returned for its highly-anticipated third chapter and delivered one of the most compelling seasons in recent memory. The show follows an assassin who seeks to abandon his former life by starting a new path as an actor; logically, things don't go as planned.

Barry received rave reviews for its wild third season, and the Television Academy rewarded it accordingly. The show amassed fourteen nominations, including for Outstanding Comedy Series. Bill Hader received multiple nominations for his work as an actor, writer, and director, while Henry Winkler and Anthony Carrigan also earned mentions for their ing performances.

Euphoria - 16 Nominations

Hacks is one of the best and most acclaimed HBO Max original shows. Starring multiple Emmy winner Jean Smart, the show follows Deborah Vance, a successful stand-up comedian who teams up with a self-assured comedy writer to freshen up her act.

Hacks season 2 received rave reviews from critics and that has translated in their Emmy nominations. The Television Academy recognized them with seventeen nominations, including one for Outstanding Comedy Series. Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder also secured their second consecutive nominations in the Lead and ing Actress categories, while the show also earned nods for directing and writing.

The White Lotus - 20 Nominations

HBO's dark comedy The White Lotus made an impression on Emmy voters, and it shows. The Mike White-created series follows a group of neurotic guests staying at a prestigious Hawaiian resort. Their interactions lead to a shocking ending, leaving a mark on everyone involved.

The White Lotus received twenty Emmy nominations, including one for Outstanding Limited Series. Nearly every member of its large cast received a nomination, including Murray Bartlett and Jennifer Coolidge, considered the front-runners to win the ing Actor and Actress categories. Ted Lasso already had a strong showing at the Emmys with its first season, and it continued that trend with its sophomore effort. The show secured twenty nominations, the second-most for any show, including nominations for ten of its performers across the acting categories. Logically, Ted Lasso also received a nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series, one in directing and one in writing.

Succession - 25 Nominations

HBO's juggernaut Succession dominated this year's Emmy nominations. The show, which stars an ensemble cast led by Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong, centers on the drama and power struggle between the cunning and ruthless Roy family.

Succession received a whopping twenty-five nominations, the most of any show at the 2022 ceremony. Nearly every major performer received recognition from the Academy, including Cox, Strong, Kieran Culkin, Matthew McFadyen, Nicholas Braun, Sarah Snook, and J.
