Screen Rant is thrilled to present a new clip from film The End of Sex. The comedy centers on a couple who attempt to save their romantic life through a series of unique new experiences. The End of Sex stars Emily Hampshire of Schitt's Creek and James Vs. His Future Self's Jonas Chernick as the lead spouses, alongside actors like Sort Of's Gray Powell and Letterkenny's Lily Gao.

Hampshire and Chernick play Emma and Josh, childhood sweethearts who met and camp and eventually married. After their children leave for a week-long trip, the two decide to sleep together as much as possible, but quickly realize much of their physical chemistry has fizzled out since having kids. In an attempt to remedy this and save their marriage, Josh and Emma try to have as many new experiences as possible to reinvigorate their romantic life.

More About The End Of Sex

Screen Rant's exclusive clip centers on one of the aforementioned new experiences, specifically the couple trying edibles. The scene begins with Emma and Josh sitting on their couch, claiming that they think they feel something, then quickly cuts to the two wandering around outside visibly under the influence. A much more psychedelic style of cinematography follows them as they wander through the snow and discuss their marriage troubles from a new perspective, ending with the couple kissing.

This fun scene helps to showcase how The End of Sex is taking a more creative approach to the typical rom-com formula, with creative camera tricks and absurdly funny dialogue. The film seems to have a balance of humor and heart, offering a realistic portrayal of the issues people face in their romantic lives as they get older, but with protagonists that attempt off-the-wall solutions for said problems. Viewers will get to see the fate of Josh and Emma's marriage for themselves when The End of Sex releases later this month.

The End of Sex releases in theaters April 28, and will come to VOD June 13.
