If provided with an opportunity, Bradbeer wouldn't even hold back on making five more Enola Holmes films. The director believes that there are several stories remaining in the dysfunctional Holmes family that haven't yet been told, and he would love to render the tales into movies if he still has the energy. Bradbeer also believes that if he makes more Enola Holmes films, he would probably venture into the early 20th century. "As you go forward, things like that three-wheeled car—which was a lovely thing we discovered — to find our characters playing on some of the new contraptions, at some point in the early 20th century," said Bradbeer. "Who knows what other challenges are going to come out of this really restless, productive period."

Nancy Springer had based her stories on the heels of the industrial revolution, in an era that was characterized by fruitful scientific discoveries and monumental social revolutions. The time setting enabled Springer to set a progressive tone to her stories and convey feminist themes relatable to the world today. Bradbeer realizes Springer's literary strategy, and he, therefore, wants to incorporate it into his Enola Holmes sequels. If Bradbeer is allowed to make more movies within the franchise, only then will the cumulative goal of Enola Holmes' source material be achieved. Enola Holmes was an out-and-out success for Netflix, and with its lead star also being interested in a sequel, the streamer should have no reservations about ordering a follow-up film.
