Four new character posters for Netflix's comedy all-star ensemble cast, including Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) as the titular heroine, Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, The Witcher) as Sherlock Holmes, Helena Bonham Carter (The Crown, Harry Potter) as their mother Eulodia and Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) as the eldest Holmes sibling, Mycroft. It's scheduled to drop on the streaming service on September 23.

The action-comedy, which is aimed squarely at the teen and young adult market, follows Enola as she attempts to solve her mother's mysterious disappearance all while evading the well-meaning efforts of her brothers to keep her safe from harm. The Enola Holmes trailer promises heaps of family-friendly action and adventure, and includes Enola breaking the fourth wall, narrating the events of the story directly to camera. It's a departure from Brown's more serious role in Stranger Things, allowing her to show off her comedy chops.

Today, Netflix released four character posters for the movie, each using a pun to reveal something about the respective characters. Cavill's teases a new perspective on Sherlock, Brown's places her at the center of the action, Carter's focuses on the mysterious nature of her character, and Claflin's plays up the contrary nature of Mycroft. The design of the posters reinforces the fact that this is a different, more fun, approach to the classic character, using bold colors and a newspaper cutting-style title design. You can see all four new posters in full below:

Sam Claflin as Mycroft Holmes in Enola Holmes

With the release of the film less than a week away, the posters give each character a chance to shine on their own, hopefully meaning that the four main stars will all have significant roles in the movie. Clearly, Brown is the star, and heart, of the film, but it's interesting to see that the rest are being focused on as well, pointing to the siblings potentially teaming up in the third act to find their mother. It's Brown, of course, who stands to benefit most from the movie.

The teen actor was a breakout star on Stranger Things, but Enola Holmes is the first time she's carrying a movie. It could represent an opportunity for the Brit to truly make her mark as a viable movie star, especially since she's starring alongside Cavill and Carter, who are stars in their own right. For Cavill, it's also a chance to step away from his more physical roles as Superman and Geralt, and allows him to turn on the charm as a friendlier version of Sherlock which, ironically, has seen Netflix getting sued.
