The HBO drama series Euphoria is a huge hit but in a show filled with iconic characters, it's Fez who is the fan favorite, often thanks to the best Fezco quotes. While the rest of the show’s ensemble seems to have their own insecurities and instabilities, Fez is a relatively calmer character. Even though he sells drugs for a living, Fez is one of the kindest and most mature Euphoria characters, though there isn't a high bar for that in the show.
Fezco quotes reflect his laid-back personality, lazily delivered in Angus Cloud’s voice. From being dramatic to simply funny, Fez’s dialogue is quite memorable in season 1, helping him to stand out as a scene-stealing ing character. It's part of what made Fezco the most likable character on Euphoria. Then, season 2 expanded his role and showed more of Fez's backstory, giving him more time and more great quotes to deliver.
11 "Listen, Man, I'm Sayin' You Keep F****** With Rue And Her Friends, I'mma Kill You."
Threatening Nate
Nate Jacobs has done some of the worst things in Euphoria. So, when he chose to mess with Rue and Jules, Fez stepped to the rescue and planned to let him off with a warning. Unfazed by Fez's threats, Nate continued to mock the drug dealer's intelligence and past. However, Fez stood his ground and looked Nate straight in the eye, threatening to even kill him. This is one of the few times when audiences see an angrier side of Fez, showing he'd go far to defend those he cares about. Fez also made good on his word when he attacked Nate in season 2.
10 "Sup?"
Meeting Ashtray
Even with the best Fezco quotes, Fez is a man of few words. And be it a friend, enemy, or even a stranger, he always greets them with a lazy "sup." As the first episode of the sophomore season revealed, Fez was always this calm no matter what the issue was. In a flashback sequence, a pre-pubescent Fez found a baby crawling in his drug-dealing grandmother's house. Not caring to know about the baby's origins, Fez just replies with his customary "sup." This simple greeting is crucial as the baby is introduced was his adoptive brother Ashtray. The quote perfectly sums up the character's personality as he is unaffected by Ashtray's sudden presence.
9 Hell The F*** No
Rejecting Rue's Drug Offer
As Rue’s addiction worsens in season 2, she tried to offer a sales pitch to Fez. She was ready to work as an intermediary, obtaining drugs from Fez and selling them to others in her high school. But Fez wasn't that naive. Sitting on a kitchen counter, he saw right through her and knew that she might just “get high on her own supply.” So, he simply rejected her offer by mumbling “Hell the f*** no”, a phrase that he keeps on repeating until Rue leaves. This quote shows how Fez continues caring for Rue despite her constant struggles with addiction.
8 "I Don't Know How To Help But I Can Tell You One Thing. This Drug S***, It's Not The Answer."
Trying To Help Rue
Fez doesn’t barge into other people’s business but he still cares a lot for his close friends. So, when he bumped into Rue at a party, he tried to tell her that drugs wouldn’t save her from the pain that she was going through. Even though they might not talk much, Rue and Fez do make for one of the better friendships on Euphoria. Fez’s lines seem ironic given how he himself sells drugs. At the same time, he is well aware of his product’s destructive nature and he doesn’t want Rue to suffer the same fatal fate that his other customers have gone through. Despite offering his advice, Fez doesn’t sound too patronizing and the dialogue only brings out his friendly concern.
7 "As Your Friend, I Got You."
Proving His Friendship
Fez can sometimes be quite parental towards Rue, even fondly referring to her as “kid.” As this quote shows, Fez was ready to go to any extent to help Rue in her journey to sobriety. In one of their usual party encounters, Rue apologized to Fez for being a constant burden. Rue also thanked him further for not selling her any drugs lately, a promise that Fez upheld throughout the rest of season 1 and all of season 2. As they sought solace in their unusual friendship, this Fezco quote assured her that he had her back no matter what.
6 "You're Confused? I'm F****** Confused, Bro."
Confronting Cal
Just like Nate, his father Cal is one of Euphoria's biggest villains and a constant obstacle in Fez’s life. Angered by Fez’s violent outburst at his son, Cal drove down to Fez’s place only to be caught by Ashtray. The latter tied him to a chair and held a shotgun next to his head. The scene induced anxiety at the start but then turned humorous, thanks to Fez’s reactions and dialogue. When Cal revealed that he slept with Jules, Fez pointed out that Nate had romantic feelings for Jules. Cal mumbled, “I’m confused” to which Fez mumbled back that he was also confused. It was a hilarious case of two people misunderstanding each other in a volatile situation.
5 "Why You Actin' Like That Sh** Was Fun, Rue? For Real. You're Pissin' Me Off."
Annoyed By Rue
Fez was rarely the one to get angry at others, but Rue can test his patience. After a drug deal went south, Rue rapped out a Tupac song and marveled at the confident personality of the drug dealer Laurie. On the other hand, Fez was still scarred from the experience as he and Rue were stripped and held at gunpoint. Driving back home, Rue didn't stop talking about the “fun” she had. This naturally prompted Fez to lose his cool. It is in such moments that audiences realize even the usually calm and meditative Fez can be frustrated.
4 "I'm Not Gonna Help You Kill Yourself, Rue. I'm Sorry, But, You Can't Be Coming Over Here No More. Just Go Home."
Protecting Rue
When Rue’s drug addiction reached a breaking point, she showed up at Nate’s doorstep asking for pills. While Fez was always one to help, he took a step back and refused to fuel any of Rue’s self-destructive tendencies. This was the first time viewers saw Fez lose his temper at Rue. Here too, the anger came out of sheer concern. The quote makes for one of the most emotional scenes on Euphoria as it is followed by Fez’s silence. Meanwhile, Rue continued shouting that Fez was a hypocrite for getting people into drugs and blaming him for her addiction. His silence as she did this spoke volumes about his character.
3 "I Just Wanna Tell You That Talking To You Was One Of The Best Parts Of My Whole Year."
Appreciating Lexi
The opening episode of Euphoria season 2 offered viewers an unexpected romance. At a New Year’s party, the introverted Lexi happened to sit on the same couch as Fez, who is a man of few words. The ensuing conversation was quite interesting as Lexi educated Fez about the pagan origins of Christmas and questioned his morals as a drug dealer. Fez was visibly impressed and even went on to say that talking to her was one of the year’s major highlights. If any other character delivered these lines, it would have come off as mere flirting but Fez was genuine. This scene set the stage for a beloved romance between two popular characters.
2 "Happy New Year, Playboy"
Getting Revenge On Nate
As noted, season 1 saw Fez warn Nate to back off from Rue and Jules’ life. True to his evil nature, Nate ended up calling the cops on Fez instead. Facing a loss in business, as a result, Fez came for revenge. However, more than his own loss, Fez was also pissed off at Nate for blackmailing Jules whom he treats as a good friend. Seeing Nate grinning at a New Year’s party annoyed Fez further. After just greeting him, Fez hit Nate with a glass bottle and then gave him the beating of a lifetime. The violence succeeding “Happy New Year, playboy” made for one of the most memorable scenes (and satisfying for all the “Nate-haters”) in season 2.
